The rooms are on the small side, but you basically only sleep there. Very clean and well maintained. Had a microwave and mini fridge in the room. I could have gotten by without them but sure would have liked to have an in room coffee maker. Wifi was a great connection. The morning breakfast was one of the better ones we have had at a motel. The only downside was they were a little short on tables to eat at. Very friendly people at the front desk. Will stay again if in the area.

My son's going away ceremony for Afghanistan was the weekend of August 25 and we thought we had our accommodations all taken care of- but last minute issues came up and we needed a hotel and quick. We went online and found they had rooms available and at a great price too. The hotel was so much better than we had expected it was very modern, clean and the staff was great. We did not spend much time in the hotel, so we did not use the pool or other amenities- but the coffee that is available anytime in the lobby was a welcome treat!

Although other reviewers commented about the small size of the rooms we decided to check this out before going to a more expensive property for our two night stay in Prairie du Chien. We were surprised to see that the room was quite a comfortable size even though we are both large people!

The hotel is fairly new and quite clean. I agree with positive comments from other reviewers. I found the breakfast items very acceptable although the coffee was weak for our taste. We found a coffee shop downtown on Blackhawk St. that serves espresso drinks, however.

The location is right on the highway and there are train tracks to the rear (although not directly in back). We chose a room in the front and had no problem with road noise. In fact, we had no noise whatsoever in our third floor room.

Only negatives were the cheap toilet paper and facial tissue, as well as skimpy towels. If it weren't for these I would have given the place five stars.

Room Tip: Rooms in front face the highway. There are train tracks to the rear, but I didn't see them. Howe...

My husband and I stayed here after a 300 mile ride on our motorcycles from our home in Illinois in 100 degree heat and some of the worst humidity I have encountered in years! We were so glad to get to the motel and was so impressed with it. It was extremely clean and they advertised pillow top mattress and it was so soft and comfortable with nice fluffy pillows, with extra pillows right in the closet in the room. The room was large. They had cookies and nachos out downstairs after 6pm free! Front desk staff was very welcoming. This motel was the same cost as the Super 8 there but glad I chose this one. had never stayed at a Microtel Inn before, but will definitely stay at another if they are all this nice with such comfy beds with nicer bedding than the Super 8 and Days Inn we usually frequent.

This is a new hotel for the area, very clean. I know some of the rooms can be small, but we were able to get a queen suite and it was HUGE and the price was reasonable- under $80. Queen bed, sofa, desk area for 2, kitchen area with fridge and mircowave. There was a nice indoor pool area and guest laundry. The manager put out "evening snacks" around 6pm that consisted of Nacho's w/cheese and salsa, and cookies. Coffee is available 24/7. The Breakfast is top notch. For us on motorcycles, the only drawback was no resturant for supper in walking distance. But there are plenty within a short drive. This hotel is a great value.

Room Tip: Ask for a suite, if small rooms are truly a major concern.

We stayed here on the 19th of the month. After we got home we checked our M/C account and found they billed us for two nights - the 19th and the 21st. So we called the desk at the hotel and argued with the lady about it for half an hour. Finally, after we asked for the name and number of the hotel manager, she "discovered" paperwork indicating that they sure enough did double bill us. She has promised to correct their error. Will have to wait and see if that ever happens.

The rooms were rather small, but overall a really nice hotel. The breakfast offered was your typical continental style breakfast, and included warm foods ( scrambled eggs, sausage/biscuits, waffles ) Downside was the hot tub was out of order, but the pool was clean and water was not too cold. If you want a clean place to stay at a reasonable price, this would be a good place.
