“Ho Hum”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

Got a fish fry and it was just OK. We ordered the crusted baked haddock and it was served without lemon, so we had to ask for it. The fish was very fishy tasting which normally means it is old or not washed very well before preparing. This was there special for the Friday we went so we expected it to be much better. The service was good and quite fast. We did not get the salad bar, which we have had in the past, and it is normally very good. Should have gotten that and taken the fish home for the dog to eat!

“Definitely will be going back”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

We had not been to the Sky Club for quite some time, but when we heard that it had been updated, we thought we'd give it a try. We were not disappointed. Our deep fried shrimp were wonderful. The only negative was waiting for more than 30 minutes for our food after our order was taken, but it was worth the wait.

Tonight we got their pizza takeout, Margherita Pizza. The crust was heavenly and the whole pizza was wonderful. Best pizza we've had in a long time. Thanks Sky Club. Glad we came back.

“Don't understand how this is rated so highly.”

Some friends and I were in the Plover area and wanted a good steak. We're more than willing to pay a fair price for a great steak so we went to Sky Club looking for such a steak knowing it would be pricey. The decor and atmosphere is that of an older supper club, but these places usually have great food. Not this time.

My party had both steak and shrimp meals. The salad bar was nothing special at all, even though it boasts being "world-famous." There were actually very few items you'd put on a salad there. We were confused. The soup and bread they serve with the meal were the highlights of the entire meal. The fresh-baked bread was soft and delicious and the soup was definitely homemade and, though a little over-peppered, it was great.

Now onto the abomination of a main course. The steaks were nothing different from what I could have easily prepared at home with super-market quality meat and a frying pan - no flavor at all. VERY disappointing for $20. But the shrimp... there was the real let down. "Jumbo shrimp" came broiled... but extremely overcooked and chewy. For $20 we got 6 unseasoned, overcooked, broiled shrimp that were completely inedible.

This place is the most overrated and overpriced establishment I've ever witnessed.

“Wont be going back.”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

My husband and I were very excited about getting to the Skyclub for date night. Hadnt been there in many years and remembered the huge salad bar and incredible steaks. It was still a very pretty place with a lovely bar. The salad bar was still very big but with very little on it. Everything was just spread far apart. Our $11 appetizer was small and bland. My husband had prime rib which was tender but had absolutely no flavor. He only had a few bites and took the rest home to season. My steak was pricey and just ok. With so many wonderful supperclubs out there, I was very disappointed that we wasted a "date night" not to mention $70.
