If you're traveling w/kids 10 years old and younger, they will love this place. It feels like a huge comfortable, wilderness lodge. The kids meals are very affordable (less than $6) and include drink, entree, dessert, and toy the child gets to pick from the "treasure chest" at the hostess desk. The salad bar is huge and can definitely be a meal in itself. Each day they offer at least 3 different soups as well. Appetizers are also extremely affordable...less than $4.50 for a huge pile of fried onion strings. Three of us ate like kings for $30. Our server was fabulous and the dessert served to our child was big enough for all of us to share. Will definitely stop in again when in the area.

We've visited this restaurant several times, including a recent Saturday night with friends, and have often come away satisfied. On this night, we sat in the quaint lounge area and enjoy excellent service from Andrew throughout our evening. Thunder Bay offers an excellent selection of small plates to choose from and all four of us ordered from that part of the menu. The seafood fondue is excellent, as are several of the other menu items. Just enough to satisfy our taste buds without being stuffed. Atmosphere is relaxed with an up north feeling.

Looks great, with a northern lodge decor. Only wish the food was better. 4 out of 10 in our group were happy with their food. Better fish at mcDonalds. Steak tasted spoiled. When we complained about the steak being spoiled the waiter said that the chef said that he hadn't had any other complaints. Poor.

You get the log cabin feel in a very large restaurant. The food was good, service was average, but the athmosphere steels the show. It can be a little noisy but oh well. Of the 5 in our group no one got a bad lunch and was served very timely for a business lunch. I would definitely go back for food and to enjoy the bar.

We found this place from a sign on the highway. After checking with Trip Advisor, and looking at some of the less than favorable reviews on service, we still wanted to try it (we were hungry).

This is a chain, and they seem to have a local following. This is a nice place. We stopped in for a mid-day lunch, the food was as expected. I ordered a cheeseburger and my bride had a ½ sandwich and soup. Both were very good. Our waiter did a fine job – we told him we were interested in fast service, and he complied (he did try to talk us to death, but it was not oppressive). This place is clean and well maintained.

We would go back when we are in the area.
