“Very impressive pizza and great beer selection”

Foster Cheese Haus is a great destination, whether you're biking out of Eau Claire or driving up or down I-94 between Minneapolis and Madison. The brick oven-baked pizza is amazingly good - fresh ingredients from their gardens and dairy (one veggie pizza I tried had every ingredient but one from within 100 yards of the store.) The beer cave has a huge selection of bottles - many local and regional, but also good choices from around the country. It is a cheese house too, and they've got the best Wisconsin has to offer - our favorites are from Carr Valley and Sartori, both Wisconsin cheese factories. They sometimes have music on Thursday nights - fun to catch that if you can as well. This is a great place - well worth supporting!

We stop here on long bike rides and the food and service are always very good. The restaurant grounds are small vegetable and herb gardens and freshly prepared foods results. Great selection of Wisconsin microbrews and locally produced cheeses

We've been coming to the Foster Cheese Haus for a couple of years now. Wood-fired pizzas made with local ingredients are absolutely first-rate (decent pizza is almost impossible to find in this area), the selection of beer by the bottle is great (non-alcoholic choices too), they have gourmet sandwiches, salads, and (of course) cheese for sale, too. Live music some evenings, if you check their schedule online.

Take your time, cozy up to the fireplace, talk to Bill (the owner), pet the friendly dog, and enjoy this unique place. It's better than a lot of the nicer places in Eau Claire, just 15 minutes away, without being pretentious.
