Description: We feature the best Juicy Lucys (stuffed burgers) in town and you will be back again and again for our Pub Pot Pies, Pub Tacos and our Jumbo Tator Tots. Crooked Pint Ale House is a family friendly bar & restaurant in Onalaska, WI, known for our beer list, but we don't forget about the wine and spirits! First time there last night during Packer - Eagle 4th quarter. I had the beef tacos, excellent. Wife had chicken cranberry bourbon salad, excellent. Service was fast, portions generous and reasonably priced.
Will be back.

We stopped to eat on our way back from the casino. Staff were all friendly and efficient. We had heard the food was really good, but did not expect what we got. I would say the food was closer to EXCELLENT than really good. There were five of us and we ordered five different meals. All of us were raving about how great the food was. We will definitely be back!

Decided to check out this new place. Onalaska goes out early, as this place was full at 5:30. We sat a bar (no waiting for a table) and enjoyed a seasonal mango lager from a Minnesota brewery. Plenty of beers on tap and bottles to choose from (whiskeys and wine also available). Enjoyed what we ate from a menu with great options - appetizers and burger was great. Service was stellar. Altogether a great evening out.

We have now tried this restaurant twice and have had overall negative experiences both times.

Here's what was good: the service, the atmosphere and the selection and quality of the tap beers was fantastic. That brings us to the bad: the food.

Everything we have ordered so far has just left us feeling disappointed. The menu items sound delicious but when they arrive they are either too bland, too salty, or taste like someone just dumped a bunch of processed ingredients together and are pretending that it's homemade. The poutine was disgusting and just wrong. Cheese curds in this dish are supposed to be fresh, not fried like their version. And when ours arrived it appeared (and tasted) like someone had just opened a jar of Heinz gravy and dumped it on without heating it. It was a salty, congealed mess.

The "Detroit Style" pizza has potential, but the crust was undercooked, the sauce was bland and cold, and when we actually found a piece of sausage it was not at all tasty.

This place has been a disappointment, and we are hoping that they either up their game with the food, or we will only be ordering beers from now on.

My friend and I went here to check out the NEW restaurant. I'd never had a Lucy before and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The burgers were hot and juicy! The Totcho Lucy had a lovely combination of flavors, while the Classic Lucy was your basic remake of an excellent burger. The prime rib French dip was served with thick meat and had plenty left over to take home for tomorrow. The pickle spears are a wonderful appetizer -- and don't forget to grab some popcorn while you wait for your dinner to be served! We ate on the patio, because the interior was too noisy for our taste. If you eat outside, you risk the danger of the flies. But a nice breeze finally helped us out with those pesky insects! The patio lights come on in the later hours and made a lovely setting for our evening's dinner conversation.
