If you are traveling anywhere near Baraboo, Wisconsin, you would be missing one of the coolest off-the-grid places we have ever seen. Another traveler described it as a steampunk fantasy, and that is absolutely correct.

Well, Dr. Evermor sees scrap metal and salvage parts and makes them into the most amazing sculptures. Fiskars had a bad run of garden pruning blades that Dr. Evermore turned into "feathered" birds. So you say that you have a load of musical instruments that you need to unload? Great! Dr. Evermor will turn them in an orchestra!
We have been there four times, and everyone who has been there with us loved it. Each time came home with whatever small sculpture he was selling at that time.
