it seems a bit too tourist trap from the road, but it is well worth stopping here. The fixed menu breakfast is very very good. you get fresh made doughnuts, ham, kielbasa (weird for breakfast but excellent) and pork sausage, biscuits and gravy if you want, and pancakes. They bring you one of each to start, but you can ask for more of anything.

We came to paul bunyons for the first time on a whim looking for anything warm and delicious. It took us some time to figure out how the dining experience worked but after some help from the friendly women we were soon seated just in time before breakfast ended. For $10 a plate you can not complain about the food. It is your typical camp food and it was very good. I'd have to say I think my favorite was the donut. There was just the 2 of us and for what we paid we left full and satisfied. Everything was warm and we were delighted to get as many biscuits and gravy as theywould serve us!

We always look forward to going to Paul Bunyon's for breakfast. Food is served family style and there's a lot of it! Sometimes family style means poor quality, but no so here. We love the fried potatoes, the variety meat plate and the bisquits and gravy. It's fun to look at all the old tools and oddities that decorate the walls and ceiling in the dining room. I also like to tour the gift store on the way out. I recommend this place to everyone.

This is a true northwoods experience. The family style meal is well worth the wait. This is my second trip to thie area and this is one place I like to go. It is a great place to take the family and you can get all the food you want. It reminds me of my family breakfasts growing up. The donuts are legendary.

Each time we vacation up in Minocqua, we plan on taking the grandkids to Paul Bunyan's! It is definitely a family gathering place and the atmosphere is just that-friendly and fun! If you arrive and see a line outside, don't be discouraged because the line moves fairly quickly. Once inside, have a look at their little gift shop chock full of lots of trinkets, t-shirts, sweatshirts and such that comes with the territory. Also, as you move forward in line, you'll pass the bakery counter. Don't forget to get yourself some cinnamon rolls or cinnamon loaves! These are melt-in-your-mouth treats! The breakfast foods are great-potatoes; pancakes; gravy and biscuits; eggs; sausage; kilbasa sausage; ham; delicious apple doughnuts...THE WORKS! Take advantage of this fun, friendly restaurant during the summer months (they close right after Labor Day)!
