Description: Nestled in the heart of Northern Wisconsin’s lake country, the Minocqua Brewing Company is housed in an historic landmark building located on the island city’s north shore. Built in 1927 as a Masonic Temple, the building was transformed into a micro brewery and restaurant seventy years later. The brewery houses a seven and a half barrel system producing seven kinds of ales and lagers. The bar features a fine selection of wines, and cocktails, along with the skillfully crafted signature beer selections. The brewery's restaurant offers an interesting assortment of appetizers, sandwiches, soups, and salads with a gourmet twist.

“Cheese and Beer...yum”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

Great little local brewery. On tap they had their local beer selection. I tried the White wheat beer and it was excellent. I also had the Gouda-Beer soup and the Portobello mushroom turkey burger...both were worth having again. The having a beautiful bar to sit at or a dining room. There is also a lounge upstairs that is very comfortable. I would go again

“Small dining area, good food”
Reviewed January 4, 2014 via mobile

We went on a Friday night at about 5:30 and had to wait about 45 minutes. Not many groups ahead if us, just a small dining area and can't accommodate large crowds. We went as a family of 4, but anything over that would be tough during peak times (another person stated, correctly, that there are only two tables that will sit six people). With that being said, the food was tasty and I would go back if we are in the area again.

“Christmas party”
Reviewed December 18, 2013

My husband's employer had their Christmas party here; started upstairs in the lounge for drinks and appetizers, then downstairs for dinner. Bartenders took great care of us; generous wine pours! My chicken picatta was very good; hubby was less happy with his fish, as he only got one piece. Good beer here, too.

“GREAT beer and friendly service.”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

Stopped by to talk to their brew master for a class project I am working on. I got a full tour of the facility and tasters of beer to accompany my appetizers. The bar was clean, warm, and classic rock played on the house music system. The staff was very friendly. I will stop here again

“FYI- NOT more than four people friendly!!!”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

Stopped at the brewery for my daughter's birthday as a group of five (two adults and three children) and was told it was going to be a half hour wait. An hour later after being seated at a setting for four noticed they only have two available tables for any groups over four. Hostess was extremely unacommidating and rude. Spoke to management and he apologized for ruining my daughter's birthday but couldn't help that they were busy. Thank goodness for fast food drive thru! Will not be returning.
