We stopped here on our recent trip snowmobiling. We parked our sleds on the lake and walked in and sat at a nice picnic table. The restaurant was warm and the locals stop here for a quick drink at the bar or for some food. We ordered chicken strips and fries. We also had soup and grilled cheese. The waitress was very nice and we will defiantly be coming back !

Food was really good and the staff was super awesome, but we did find a huge long hair in our burger. I could tell that this had never happened to that waitress before and they took amazing care of us! We will definitely be back next year!

Went to the Thirsty Whale on our last night in Minocqua, great chowder, great environment. Right on the lake.. Beautiful view.. Service was great and quick.. The Bartender served some very cold drinks.. Well worth the visit!

Recently visited for lunch. The food was good but everything is very overpriced. It is a tourist trap, so you come to expect higher prices but theirs are a bit much. It's much more worth it in the summerr when you can sit right on the lake, in the winter it's not as impressive.

I had the blackened fish it was excellent. Has a great view of the lake. While there i enjoyed reading the history of the Thirsty Whale. It would be fun to read the unedited version.
