“Average food in a lovely three season room”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

I had dinner here with six friends. I almost missed the restaurant since it wasn't all that well marked.

The dinner started out with a cheese spread and some tasty crackers that seemed home made. This was a complimentary appetizer and I think that's what makes this restaurant a "Supper Club". Some of us had drinks and a few split a bottle of wine.

A few of us had the walleye which I had grilled with almonds on top. The complaint some of us had was that the fish was bland. I think a bit more butter on the top would have worked wonders or maybe a light sauce. I've had walleye before so I knew it would be on the mild side.

One of the ladies had the filet. She only eats meat and said the steak was tough and she couldn't even really chew it and as a result did not finish it. Two ladies split scallops and salmon. They liked the scallops but said the salmon wasn't great.

I might be inclined to give this another try but I've heard from locals that it's really "just average". The three season room however, is very pleasant.

“Yester-year Wisconsin with lovely setting close to nature!”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

Norwoods is located in a lovely, northern woods setting among tall, mature pines. The property is accessed by a road that leads right up to the front door of this vintage building from yester-year!
The menu is varied and the food is always good here! The atmosphere is lively with many large groups and families which adds to the ambiance. Deer roam the grounds and there is a small lake one can view from any of the windows of the resturant. A delightful setting; a delightful evening of good food/drink and attentive staff!!

“Norwood Pines one of best examples of Wisconsin Supper Clubs”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

This super club is one of the best. The interior and exterior of the building is beautiful. The food was excellent. The menu is quite extensive and prime rib is served every night. We both had the Prime Rib. We had the largest cut which is actually enough for at least two persons. It was cooked to perfection and could almost be cut with a fork. Our meal was started with a complimentary cranberry salsa and chips and pasta, and then another complimentary cheese tray. Our meal included an excellent salad and also a really good chowder that is their own special recipe. The main course was the prime rib and twice baked potato. The twice baked potato and blue cheese crumbles on the salad were included in the price of the prime rib. Nothing was extra. We had to take some of the prime rib home. We had a grasshopper for dessert, and the ice cream drink was about 8 inches tall. I have no idea how they get it that high It may be the best ice cream drink we ever shared. The wait staff was the best. Very attentive and laid back. Also the maître d' who happened to be the wife of one of the owners gave us a great seat with a nice view. She later came over to see how we were doing. This was our first visit. Next year when we visit Wisconsin we will be eating at this great super club. Sit on the enclosed porch if you can.

It was crowded, but still had a great time from a short wait at the bar to nice summer dinner at around nine pm

“Very tasty food, great service”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

We ate here with friends yesterday. Having been here many times, we were pleasantly surprised by our entrees, which were the best we've ever had here. Our server, a girl from Russia, was efficient, courteous, and attentive. I would recommend the portabella stuffed tenderloin. The prime rib also was excellent. Some reviews for Norwood Pines are very critical, but on this day, it was excellent.
