The Sheraton overbooked me on a business trip & offered me a room @ Brumder instead. I showed up @ 10:30pm one night, slept GREAT, and left the next morning after a breakfast. The food is delicious! I met with Tom, who was a great conversationalist, and met a few other guests.
Even for experiencing a small part of this B&B, I do have to say it was great. An absolutely BEAUTIFUL house that is well-decorated. Some B&B's can be of a gaudy Victorian decor, but this place does it just right. (They also have a full acting theater in the basement. COOL place.) The showers (Emma suite) are modern & there is a separate Jacuzzi tub.
Next time I'll stay more days and use more than the shower & bed.
PS - The smell of breakfast wafting through the house @ 7:30 was wonderful & I was happy to wake up to go join in. Also, free wifi is a bonus.
I give it a 4/5 because it is in an older & more run-down part of Milwaukee. HOWEVER, it is only about 10 minutes into the heart of the city & the distance (by car) from activities is pretty convenient. (The house can't help where it was built & 100 years ago when it was built, that area was a high-end area. It still has large gorgeous homes.)
Also, the small wooden hanging sign out front is a little hard to see as you drive by because there are no lights on it. I had to drive by a few times to know exactly where it was... (It was also 10:30pm and raining hard.)
