If you visit or stay in Downtown, you have to come to the Third Ward. There's so much more than the downtown area. The Public Market, shops and restaurants. Favs include The Ale House, Rustico and Wicked Hop.

Boutique shops, interesting restaurants, and art places on walkable streets. As wonderful at the holidays as it is in summer, although warm weather brings outdoor and open window seating in the restaurants. Small theater district here as well.

Disliked nothing. Liked everything. A true must see in Milwaukee. Terrific fresh foods, drinks and baked goods of all kinds. Went for breakfast one day and lunch another. Ate too much both times because it was so fresh, unique, and delious. Great bloody marts, and margarita's at Mexican stall. Unbelievable fresh seafood. Some interesting crafts, unique gadgets and spices, sweets, and a lovely second floor seating area to relax and enjoy the fruits of your browsing. Easy free parking next door!

The Retigue store, a Goodwill that was really GREAT....was the highlight of visiting this ward. Located at 190 North Broadway, 414-273-1797 (www.amazinggoodwill.com ) not to be missed. I'm a lousy shopper, hyperventilate at the thought of a shopping mall, but have better luck in these shops. This one was VERY clean, had two delightful high school students working who were personable and should go FAR. Great ladies! Bought 50% of what I tried on, a major miracle. So run here.

Great restaurants to pick from. Lots of little Art galleries. Lots of shops for the ladies. No shops for men that I could find, that was a little disappointing. It's worth checking it out.
