The third ward is awesome. Great restaurants, bars and shops - a way to spend a day into the evening. Highlights for me are Cafe Benelux for brunch, Milwaukee Ale House for dinner then finishing off with some dancing in the back room of the Wicked Hop!

I used to walk thru this neighborhood to work 30 years ago, and am amazed at the transformation from industrial run down warehouses to funky cool bohemian area.

To my knowledge this is a newly renovated part of town providing incredibly diverse shopping and dining. Beautiful boutiques, unique little stops such as the champagne bar, Cuvee, and if you want to get your hands dirty the market has a daily lunch special -- an entire lobster with biscuits, you just have to eat it there!

Talked my teenage girl into going to the 3rd ward on an unseasonable warm weekend in early December. a revitalized area with charm. Lots of interesting and trendy clothing stores, kick knacks and food. We really scored at a resale shop- good brand names at reasonable prices. Also enjoyed the food vendors before hitting the road. Plenty of street parking that is free on Sundays.
