Good walking neighborhood with lots of locally owned shops and restaurants. A must do for locals and visitors looking for a nice neighborhood to wander, and a great way to spend an afternoon. The renovations made in the past several years clearly reflect an interest in preserving the historic neighborhood and supporting local business.

I spent the day wandering around in the boutiques, galleries and second hand clothing stores. Lunched at the Public Market and drank to die for coffee. Great friendly service everywhere I went. Well worth checking out.

This is a great area of Milwaukee, I'm so glad someone recommended a restaurant there. The indoor public market was really nice. Not huge, would have liked to see some seasonal veggies or something, but there was fresh fish, beer and wine booths, candies, etc. Fun to walk around.

Lots of shops, restaurants, bars, a fine local live theater. Parking can be challenging, but it's worth it.

The Third Ward features an excellent indoor Public Market with plenty of goumet food options, cheese, wine and a few counter restaurants.

Plenty of art galleries and bookstores. Have lunch at at the Water Buffalo Grill overlooking the Milwaukee River. Nice beers on tap and a great French Dip sandwich.
