What's not to like about Milwaukee's Public Market. Great variety of vendors and people watching. Second floor has tables so you can eat your lunch or snacks plus a small book market selling used books on the honor system for $1.00 Don't forget to your parking validated.

We stumbled upon this market and had a great experience. St. Paul Seafood had the best assortment of fresh oysters, the shrimp was steamed to perfection, and the lobster sandwich was superb! Be sure to check out Oro di Oliva; I didn't know olive oil and balsamic vinegar came in so many flavors! The combinations make execellent salad dressings and marinades. And don't leave without stopping by the bakery. I had the best "chunk" of butter cake ever!

Public market was a great place to stop for lunch or to grab food for a picnic. They had a nice variety of food vendors from oysters to sandwiches. Milwaukee's version of San Francisco's ferry building

The public market has a diversity of vendors, but don't expect anything out of the ordinary. However, it's located in the Historic Third Ward (definitely a great area to explore) -- so spend some time in the market if you're here.

We stopped by during opening hour on a weekday, so maybe it's more booming on a weekend. However, still a good stop for Wisconsin souvenirs before your way out of town.

Had only a couple hours before my flight out so went to the public market to buy cheese, sausage, and spices, along with artisanal bread and some sweets. A great market, reasonable prices for the quality, and a few blocks from the pier. Loved the usinger sausage in the shape of a football and wisconsin curd cheese.
