A must see venue when you are close to the lake. Located on Terrace Avenue, the mediterranian architecutre and gardens are wonderful.

The gorgeous and historic VT is where we got married so I am totally biased! But for any couple looking for a non-church location for your ceremony with an incredible view of Lake Michigan and gorgeous grounds - this is your place. Make sure, however, that your photographer does a walk through with you so s/he understands what is important to you. We love the architecture and the views and our photographer was able to capture what made the Villa Terrace so romantic and special to us. The VT set the pace for the rest of the day as we were able to have our ceremony out on the Terrace. Everytime we drive by the Terrace, we are reminded of that special day in that amazing Villa on top of the hill. The event staff at the Villa are so gracious and helpful. And, they have a wonderful grand piano in the great room for rent which is tuned often so that was a nice plus as well!

Sit on the terrace of this lovely villa, gaze at the lake and you feel like you've been transported to the Italian coast - which was exactly the point when it was built. The house is lovely, and houses changing exhibits of decorative arts. The terraced gardens are spectacular in the summer.

The building interior is lovely, and I love the Spanish tile roof. What takes my breath away, though, is the garden in the back overlooking Lake Michigan. You can step out to the patio area of the house and traipse down to the bottom of the grounds.

Once a month they offer free concerts- look at their website- and coffee. Nice little museum and a great view of the gardens and lakefront.
