The Plaza is a lovely, vintage-styled hotel. Large room, comfortable bed, with rather tiny bathroom. Full kitchen with refrigerator is always a plus. Welcoming and clean. Friendly staff. Loud cafe music at 7am was not appreciated.

The room was really nice and clean, they made sure I had everything I needed. The staff was really nice and friendly especially my cleaning lady, her name was Mercy! When I come back to Hawaii I will stay here again!

This charming hotel has made a good effort in preserving the original art deco detailing of its construction. they have left old carpets, fixtures, even an old switchboard remains at the reception.
Attention is excellent and the food at the cafeteria as well. The room, especially the bathroom is in need of updating; this could be done with good craftmanship preserving the details, but it has been poorly repaired. Also it seems the windows have NEVER been cleaned. there is a vine on the exterior, which could make the task difficult but not impossible.

We stayed for one night after a concert and truly enjoyed how quiet the rooms were. Nothing beats good, old fashioned plaster walls. The cafe food is amazing, but it can get crowded if the weather outside is bad. If it's nice out, the outdoor patio is a gem.
