Recently stopped in for small plates brunch and fun cocktails early on a Sunday afternoon and had a wonderful time. The fried brussel sprouts were crazy good and the deviled eggs were interesting, also. It's always nice to have a juicy burger on a menu along side the wonderful pancakes. We did a lot of sharing and tasting at the table. Service was great and parking was plentiful. The next time you are looking for something a bit different and wonderful after church on a Sunday, give the Blue Jacket a try. You will be delighted.

Went here for a couple drinks before dinner. Bartender was very friendly and there micro brews are very good. I'll definitely be back to try the food.

We went to Blue Jacket before a night at the theatre. We had reservations and that was essential on Saturday. The dining room/bar is not that large, so seating is pretty limited. There is seating at the bar (first come, first served) as well. One notable thing - there is no TV behind the bar! It's just a nice, mellow spot where the bartenders provide the entertainment as they mix and pour cool inventions.
Our server, Ella, seated us right away and took great care of us. The whole place has a Great Lakes nautical theme, and the cocktails reflect this. They offer a "daily grog" that was quite interesting (we each had one). I did not ask, but I would guess it changes daily.
The menu is relatively limited, with some small plates and some larger plates. The specials are listed on the chalkboard. There's a cheese platter, a charcuterie platter, and a mixed combination "collaborative" (which we shared, and was delicious). We also had an escarole salad and the halibut. There was plenty of food, but we were a bit disappointed with the size of the halibut entree. It would have made a great small plate, but it was priced at $23 - about double what it should have been. We skipped coffee and dessert, but they looked really good too.
Wines were interesting and well chosen. Prices by the glass were pretty good and the pours were larger than typical.
It's more of a neighborhood place, upscale casual, than a real romantic dinner restaurant.
We would love to go back here and try a few other things on the menu. It is definitely on our return list, after we try a few other new places. So many choices!!

We recently dined at Blue Jacket with two other couples before a theater performance. Our server, Brian, was funny, informative, & attentive. Cocktails are outstanding and creative. I loved both the From Ashes to Gold and the Rob Roy. Food was outstanding. We ordered several plates and shared amongst the group. Particularly outstanding were the monkfish (light & delicious) and the steak. Also amazing were the fried brussel sprouts. Our entire group had a fantastic time and plans to go back again.

Four of us decided to stop here for a drink before having dinner at another restaurant. 5 drinks and dinner later (one of us was a DD!) we walked out of there feeling like we had an experience to remember for quite awhile! The drinks were so delicious made by Mike who was very pleasant and fun to talk to! We shared the seaweed salad which was very very good and the beet salad which was perfect! I had the steak dish - the steak was good but the broccolini tasted burnt - not just smoky.

Oh the fun part with Mike is we told him what we like to drink and surprise us - for ex I love St. Germaine so he concocted something for me and the same for my friends!

I would def go again when I'm in Milwaukee next!
