“Simply put, the BEST pizza!”
Reviewed August 29, 2010

For the thin crust pizza lover this is Milwaukee's best! Everything from the crust, sauce and toppings are delicious. I've been bringing and telling friends and they keep returning. Our favorite is CSMO. Their sausage is awesome. The only bad thing is that they don't accept credit or debit cards, cash only. Normally I don't support restaurants that don't accept plastic, but in this case I make an exception. They make their pizza like authentic Italy. They are usually quite busy for dinner on weekends. They serve pasta dishes too but their signature dish definitely is pizza.

“Wow - what a trip! Go with a fun attitude and you'll love it.”
Reviewed March 27, 2008

This is probably my favorite pizza joint in town, not only because the pizza is excellent, but because the place is, well... so... funny!

Before I start, it is not a place you bring your new gal to impress her, unless you want to impress her with your fun and free spirited qualities. Maria's is tiny, gaudy and just plain over-the-top Italian flavor.

They load the place with an insane amount of decorations for every season... and that's on top of the "permanent" decorations of religious paint-by-number wall hangings, Elvis guitar clock, and red-everything. It's a wonder the place hasn't burned down with so many strings of lights connected to one another. It is all truly endearing... you just have to experience it to understand.

So... the pizza. It's of the super-thin variety with very little sauce and simply delicious. They serve it to you in the pan, with the crispy ends of the crust hanging off a bit. Although the ends of the crust is crisp, the rest of it is nice and soft... I give it a little roll before devouring! The price is very good too... I think about $15 for a large.

Overall, if you love pizza, enjoy unique experiences and go in expecting your table to have a red-checked plastic tablecloth, cheap seats, red plastic plates and a smoking section that is designated by a sign on one of the walls... this is the place for you. A true experience you'll love to tell your friends about when you get back home.
