“Great food, expensive”
Reviewed January 30, 2013 via mobile

Stopped in with a client when realized steakhouse we intended to go to was closed, there was a blizzard on, and this was close by. They took us immediately without reservations. It was a little early but filled up fast so this was probably an inconvenience but they didn't make us feel as if it was one. Very attentive service throughout. The first server was more on the over anxious side but the young woman who picked up more of the later service was calm, natural and was really one of the best servers I've seen in a long time. Good but pricey wine list. Food was terrific - I ordered the caprese salad, 6oz. filet, chocolate bread pudding dessert. Not sure the steak was medium well as I requested, more like medium rare, but I'm flexible as long as it's still medium. My biggest issue is price. My company is picking up the tab but we have daily meal expenses these days even in the Fortune 100 and this was pretty high. I was entertaining a client so have to do it all - drinks, salad or appetizer, meal and dessert - but given it's Milwaukee, perhaps more thought should be given to what companies are willing to fund these days. As an individual, I'd never go. I intend to retire some day!

“Prime 5+++++”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

We wasted a bunch of time researching where to eat in Milwaukee and finally decided to just go around the corner and eat at Mo's. It was going to be kinda pricey for us, but we were tired on looking and comparing on the internet. WOW! It was well worth the money. The BEST service, the BEST appetizer (calamari and shrimp), the BEST bartender (Dan, I think...he remembered our names and said goodbye as we left the restaurant), the BEST steak (ribeye, perfectly cooked, real beef flavor and perfectly seasoned). It is a small restaurant with tables kinda close together, but we still enjoyed an intimate and quiet dinner, just the two of us. The waiter (Zach) even pulled a pair if readers out of his pocket for my husband to read the menu. Never a crumb left on the table and they continued to replace dirty silverware and napkins. I would give this restaurant a 5+++ and we will return again as soon as we get back to Milwaukee.

“John and Victoria... service at its best.”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

John the bartender.. is the best... always greets everyone and engages them in a friendly conversation. Martinis and Cosmopolitans are out of this world.
All the wait staff is fabulous, but Victoria is our Favorite.
The food is impeccable. Really wonderful restaurant.

“Pricey but worth it.”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

The service, quality and steaks are consistently great. We had the opportunity to take business clients here and they were impressed which is always a good thing when taking clients out for a big steak dinner.

“Convenient for a Pre-Concert Dinner”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Stopped for dinner before a concert at the Pabst Theater around the corner. Valet parking 7$ and was well worth it. There are two restaurants kiddy corner from one another. One is an Irish pub, and one a more elegant place for steaks. The pub had a 25 minute wait and was sooooo loud, so, we crossed the street and had a lovely dinner. A bit more pricey, but glad we did it. Went to the concert and returned to find our car parked out right in front. Food was great and was well worth it to not have to fight the crowds getting out of the parking ramp. Will do it again next time and so should you.
