The steaks are great and large and the value is decent - the neighborhood as always is questionable but there is always someone watching the lot which is nice. The old school charm is in the other touches like the relish tray, hot bread and choices of homemade dressings. There is always a lot of food for the price.

Very unique experience, especialy in today's world. More like an old school "Supper Club". I was a guest of someone else, but they indicated that you had to have a reservation and do not take "walk-ins". A little strange in that they had quite a few empty tables.

When you arrive, they seat you inthe bar, and then as you are having a beverage, someone comes around to take your order. You are eventually seated in the dining room and when you arrive at your table, it is already set up with salad, bread, and cold veggies (radishes, olives, etc.).

We both had steaks (rib eyes) which were very large and quite good. The dining room is quite dark and the steaks are all more or less "blackened" but not with anything spicy. The combination of the low lights and the dark, almost black steaks, made it a little difficult to see what you were cutting up. Portions were all quite large.

Service was OK.

you won't find a better "old style" steakhouse in the Greater Milwuakee area. Mind you, there are some very good ones but Coerper's sets the bar that the other folks have to strive to meet or beat.
