went to odd duck with extremely high hopes after reading the great reviews. the food was very good. it was a bit loud and the atmosphere was very average. so all in all a bit disappointed. I was so put off by the atmosphere, it kind of ruined it.

The food at the Odd Duck is unique and changing all the time. It is tapas, but limited to Spanish-type tapas. In fact, we had quite a few Asian-inspired tapas during our recent visit. We started with olives, and they were very good. We also had the bacon-wrapped gorgonzola dates, twice baked pork, crispy tofu, tempura vegetables, eggplant fries and lots more. The service was good, my husband liked the beers on tap, and I didn't mind the wine selection by the glass. The old wood bar is very nice and the atmosphere fun and modern. I recommend a visit if you are in Milwaukee. I agree that it is one of the best restaurants in the city.

Having heard great things about this restaurant, we finally made our way to Bayview. The cocktails were inventive and well priced. The staff were friendly and helpful, engaging with the right amount of attention. The menu changes daily and the small plates show creativity using local and seasonal ingredients. This rates as one of the best places in Milwaukee for fine, inspired and imaginative dining options.

This might be one of my favorite places to visit while in Milwaukee. They have some of the best drinks and food I have had in Wisconsin. Complete with numerous vegetarian options and original cocktails.

Loved this restaurant. The food was varied and tasty and reasonably priced. Our server was attentive and provided lots of recommendations and details about the menu. We shared three different selections starting with a cheese plate, then the spicy Korean Pancake - yummy! Warning the pancake is spicy, but we loved it - just the right amount of heat.

We finished up with probably the best vegetable dish either of us have ever had - the roasted beets. What made this special was the "beet soil." It was amazing and we could not get enough of the rich earthy chocolate taste. All of the flavors of this dish were perfectly blended and we later learned not only did the "soil" contain dark chocolate but it also had some type of dehydrated mushrooms. What great flavors. We were just about licking the plate!

The atmosphere was charming and simple and the prices were very reasonable for such delicious fare. Even with each of us having one glass of wine our bill came in under $50. We were full with sharing just these three items. Wish we had more time in Milwaukee because we would have definitely gone back again.
