“Very interesting”

We went here on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. The history of the mansion was very interesting. It's worth going on the tour just to see the work put into the restoration of the place.

“Worth the trip”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

Wonderful turn of the century mansion full of visual treats. Barb our docent was incredible, she made the tour pleasant and filled us with the history of the building. Rich with history it's worth the trip.

“Fun tour!”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

The guided tour takes about an hour and our tour guide knew her stuff! She was very enthusiastic and able to provide answers for all of the questions thrown at her. The house is amazing with many period pieces on display. I left with a taste to know more about the Pabst family. Hopefully my local library will be able to provide more detail. Either way, it made for a great short side trip on our weekend in Milwaukee.

“Must see!”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

Great history, knowledgeable guide, great value! Regular tours are offered summer months, but I'm not sure about off season. The mansion is beautiful and offers a great look back into the early years of Milwaukee wealth. There is a little gift shop as well. What I liked most was the value and the fact the tour didn't take a long time. Definitely see!

“Amazing Blast from the Pabst!”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

Just a little pun! Actually this was an amazing tour as the Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, and interesting as she knew all the history of this family, the time period and the town of Milwaukee. I think if you are anywhere near Milwaukee you should come to Captain Pabst's mansion and go back in time for 90 minutes to see how the super rich were able to live. The renovation done here is quite incredible, and it has been lovingly restored. But still much to do and they need funding so if there are any Benefactors out there please help them out!
