“Amazing way to learn of the Blue Ribbon Baron”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2012

Well worth the time and money. Tour was about an hour and fifteen minutes. Our guide, Barbara, was great. She knows so much about the mansion. Went into each room of the house, Alot of original furniture in the home, lots of oak and marble. Got to see how important family was to Pabst, how the blue ribbon got started. The magic doors and the safe site was cool. At one point you are given a touching letter that he wrote to his children before he died. The artwork was amazing. Great gift shop too. Downside is you cannot take pictures inside the mansion and you cannot sit down anywhere, so be prepared to stand for an hour or so. Great way to spend an afternoon.....well worth it.

“Historical Mansion”

Enjoyed the tour of the historical mansion. It is especially pretty during the holidays when it is decorated. It is a nice thing to do when the weather outside is not great.

“Beautifully restored- definitely worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2012 via mobile

We weren't sure if we'd enjoy this- we're not fans of overdone, opulent homes. But it was fantastic! Beautiful inlaid wood floors, ornate fireplaces and ceilings, unique stamped wallpaper, antler chandeliers...and it doesn't seem like Pabst was an arrogant jerk which is refreshing. Passionate and knowledgeable volunteers are the guides. They have painstakingly restored a lot of the rooms, ceilings, rugs, drapes to what was originally there so what you see is authentic. The beautiful oak and mahogany throughout the home is worth seeing if nothing else. Well done!

“Beer Baron Life”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2012

Quite the preservation of the lifestyle of the great Milwaukee Beer Baron family. Full of grandour of the time as well as an antique collection true to the family roots. Architecturally detailed and worthy of a stop.

“Highlight of the Milwaukee trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2012

We went to this thinking it would be cool but it was much more then that. Great history and very well told by our guide. Even if you don't like history or beer, it was a pretty cool story. The inside of the house was gorgeous and better then it appeared from the outside. They are still renovating the top floor and even with only the first and half the second done, it was a quick hour tour. Worth the stop. I believe it was $9 a person.
