One day we stood inside, and the next day outside to watch the 12 noon opening and closing of the gigantic "wings" on the Museum. From inside the light changes dramatically, and from outside it's a surreal marvel. The Art Museum's collection includes Homer, Durand, Church, also European painters, and wonderful decorative arts to name a few. There's a rather wild outsider art gallery as well. We had come to see the Kenwood exhibit of Gainsborough, Van Dyck, Rembrandt, and it was wonderful. But we were surprised and pleased to find all the other treasures. We'd like to return in warmer weather to enjoy the lakeside views and walks.
