“Bad Bar Service”

I really do like this Hotel and have stayed several times. However, the service in the bar was far below acceptable. Had to ask for refill on my beer, bartender lost my signed tab, and chased me down in the parking lot while I was trying to leave for a concert.

Stayed here many times, overall good. $20 a day for parking is a lot. Shower curtain had mold. Only 1 free shuttle running, never on time. Driver was very nice.
A little pricey for summerfest weekend.

Not only was the staff very friendly and inviting, but also helpful. Helped save me almost $75 on transportation. Sunday brunch was insaine! The shuttle will take you almost everywhere and pick you back up.Can't wait to go back.

Very friendly and accomodating staff! Close to freeway but main downtown attractions and lake front are not easily walkable, especially with kids. Free shuttle service is convenient but can fill up quickly (reservation recommended). We opted to cab it back vs. waiting for shuttle in the evenings. Cab rides ranged from $8-$13 depending on where we came from in the downtown area. Overall, nice hotel but location isn't as convenient as others in "heart of downtown".

I spent four nights at the Ambassador for a recent business trip. It is an easy walk to Marquette. The staff provided excellent customer service to make me feel like I had been there numerous times. Comfortable rooms and a friendly smile and a cold beer from Konrad or Holle at the lounge for happy hour specials.

The perfect hotel for a night before or after the ferry from Muskegon, MI. The hotel is just blocks off the freeway and yet quiet. If night life is your thing, you can drive down Wisconsin to the downtown area.

The exterior of the hotel isn't impressive. However, once you come through the door, you see the art deco design (neat elevators!), and get a sense for the comfortable vibe in the restaurant and bar. The desk personnel were very personable. There was a question in checking in about the Amazon Local deal we were using, but the desk supervisor quickly set things straight . Our room was large, with a sitting area, and very comfortable. There is an onsite parking garage which felt secure. The hotel is not far from the Pabst Mansion, and the drive to city center is short. (The hotel also offers a shuttle, of which we did not take advantage.) We will definitely stay here again, and the next time, we'll spend some time in the bar (to take advantage of the offer of a second cocktail at 1928's prices).
