This is a very clean, very user-friendly zoo. Monkey Island is a must see! They also do lots of fun things in the summer like the Taste of Milwaukee festival and Wednesday night music. It's a must see!

The Milwaukee County Zoo is a very well run and maintained Zoo and great to visit during summer months. Parking is allowed on side streets so if you don't mind walking a block or two you can save the parking fee as well. The grounds are layed out nice and the variety of Animals is impressive for a Zoo it's size. Winter visits are totally different though and that is a draw back.

Nice zoo, nice to visit. We did it so often as a kid, its nice to see the updates over the years. Miss Samson though.

The zoo is not bad, but in the winter over half of the animals are not viewable. Also, they open at 9AM on weekdays, but half of the animals that are viewable in the winter are not viewable until 10 AM. The zoo workers start at 9 AM by cleaning exhibits and placing food in exhibits so only 1 animal was out in the Primate center. The primate center looks like it could be a cool attraction but not when you only get to see one animal between 9 AM and 9:30 AM. It looked like there would be lots to see and view when the weather is warmer, but don't waste your time and money seeing not much in the winter months.

Fantastic zoo. We have the membership so go even in winter. Then you have the place to yourself! Animals seem to be very well cared for, and each exhibit is done beautifully. I've had my daughter take the Sea Lion Trainer for a Day class when she was five. It was fantastic, and I highly recommend.
