Be Careful when going tubing on the lazy river on a hot summer day!
Let me tell you, it was literally the sunburn from hell.

I enjoy heading over to Schulz Aquatic Center on beastly hot days in summer. It's great for families, but I'm a young adult with no children and still have a great time. I do want to warn you that it does get very crowded on particularly hot days.
Located inside Lincoln park off of Hampton avenue, it is easy to get to via bus, car, or bicycle. Admission is reasonably priced for what the park has to offer which is: one inter tube water slide
one regular water slide
a lazy river
Diving-well with two (2) 1M diving boards (those are the 'short boards')
A regular sized pool (25Y) with a few lap lanes roped off, and
The largest aquatic kids playground I've seen in a city park.
(I think there is a smaller water slide intended for kids too short to go on the other two slides)

Other things on site: Snack bar, Coin operated lockers, locker rooms, picnic tables, patio lounge chairs.

Nice county run pool that opened in summer 2009. Has 2 large slides, lazy river (for kids 48" and higher or they have to meet swim test or wear a life jacket), kids zero depth pool with sprinklers, lap swim, 2 diving boards. Admission when we went was $5 for kids and $6.75 for adults. It is set in Lincoln park that has picnic tables, shaded playground, and near the river. Nice changing facilities even include a family bathroom. Snack bar with french fries, burgers, ice cream, drinks at reasonable prices.
