I enjoy heading over to Schulz Aquatic Center on beastly hot days in summer. It's great for families, but I'm a young adult with no children and still have a great time. I do want to warn you that it does get very crowded on particularly hot days.
Located inside Lincoln park off of Hampton avenue, it is easy to get to via bus, car, or bicycle. Admission is reasonably priced for what the park has to offer which is: one inter tube water slide
one regular water slide
a lazy river
Diving-well with two (2) 1M diving boards (those are the 'short boards')
A regular sized pool (25Y) with a few lap lanes roped off, and
The largest aquatic kids playground I've seen in a city park.
(I think there is a smaller water slide intended for kids too short to go on the other two slides)
Other things on site: Snack bar, Coin operated lockers, locker rooms, picnic tables, patio lounge chairs.
