“Awesome value... walking distance to...”

Awesome value... walking distance to downtown and the lake. The room was awesome, we were expecting a cheap hotel and we had a great room with a huge flatscreen tv and a walk in tiled shower. The bed was ridiculously comfortable. We had a nice friendly conversartion with the manager and bartender at the bar. They offer free shuttle service to anywhere within 2 miles which includes almost all of downtown. A+ thanks for an awesome experience!

My Daughter and I recently traveled to Milwaukee for the American Idol Auditions, a city we knew nothing about and a motel we hoped would be a good one. Hotel of the Arts proved to be an excellent Motel and we Highly recommend it. We were accommodated immediately ( with a smile I might add) when we asked to switch from a queen to 2 double beds. The room was good size, very clean and had all the necessities travelers might need (mini fridge, Microwave, Coffee pot TV, Alarm clock, Phone) An added bonus is the artwork that graces the walls of the rooms and the motel halls and lobby. We were also given several takeout menus right away in case we needed them, which we did. It is in a convenient location close to everything. Motel of the Arts offers a free shuttle service to get around Milwaukee and each driver was happy to answer our questions, take us on mini tours en route, suggest places to go, and tell us about their city. The hotel also provides non-stop coffee and a nice breakfast with many selections. The lounge is a warm and inviting gathering place that many idol contestants jammed in and sang throughout the evenings. The staff was very encouraging and supportive to all and more than accommodating. In the lobby they provide an events board with listings of fun things to do in Milwaukee. The hotel has a guest computer room and a pay laundry. All the guests we spoke to were equally pleased. We can't wait to go back to Milwaukee and of course we know where we are staying The Hotel of the Arts, Days Inn.

Nice clean facility with cozy rooms. Hotel was very reasonably priced with decent complimentary breakfast. Close to downtown and Miller Park.

My girlfriend, and I stayed 3 nights at Days Inn Hotel of the Arts . What a great stay! The G.M. Patrick, and his entire staff were terrific! Front desk, housekeeping, bartenders, etc. We had great value, a beatiful room, and awesome staff.

This will be my new hotel when in Milwaukee! Highly recommended!

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff is incompetent when it comes to taking reservations and ensuring these reservations are correct. The staff, including the managers, is rude and unprofessional. The so-called suite we stayed in was missing basic amenities (like cups), but staff refused to bring them up to the room, claiming they were too busy. They claim to have a free shuttle but it is a dumpy unmarked van that is never available. They also claim to have free parking, but the lot is tiny and guests are forced to park on the street. The hotel is not in the best area and I found out some of the cars that had to park on the street were broken into the second night of my stay. I stayed with a group of people and the following happened to members of the group: reservations were lost and people were left without rooms, people who had requested two beds were given one and vice versa, people were overcharged, almost everyone was treated rudely, and worst of all the front desk gave a stranger a key that worked in one of our group members’ room. Even if the price is cheap this hotel is NOT worth it because of the horrible staff, the many mishaps involved with staying at this hotel, and the unsafe area it is in. After my stay the hotel mangers ignored my complaints and concerns so I had to deal with corporate. Run far far away from this hotel.

I arrived for check-in, several people in the lobby were very unhappy and yelling about rooms not being ready and the shuttle service not picking them up from downtown. The management was scrambling, rude to the employees working and seemingly had no clue on the basics of the check-in/ reservation process.

Checked-in, the internet did not work. We needed internet for work. Called to the front desk "Oh, we've had alot of issues with the wireless internet, come down and get a ethernet cord" We did that..no internet. Call back. "Oh, i'll have someone move a modem closer to you, Our wired internet doesn't work" Call again half hour later "Our maintenance guy left sick, were having someone else work on it" What the??? It's just internet...every other hotel there's no issue. Was able to connect an hour later with little or no signal.

We asked shuttle for a drop off to see the fireworks...that worked out well, was dropped off and given nice location to view fireworks...instructed to call for picked 30 minutes in advance. We did that, finished our beers and went out to the corner for picked. 45 minutes went by we called "oh, he's on his way" 1 hour goes by we call "it will be 5-10 minutes. We called at 11:20PM for pickup and they never arrived there until 1:10 AM. Every time we called they kept saying 5-10 minutes. They never had the decency to call us about being late and just kept stringing us along. What a disaster. I wouldn't have minded taking a cab or bus...but they strung us along for hours. Evening ruined

Woke up the next day..no internet, called down, some other lame excuse about the servers. We reserved 2 nights and checked out after 1. I went down to get a receipt to make sure they didn't charge me a 2nd night, printer out of ink...no refills, they had to take the toner out and shake it to get a printout that was legible. In the meantime, customers are lining up behind me, getting irritated at the long wait. These people have no clue how to run a hotel, they don't value customers, they don't communicate. If you stay here, it's really a crap shoot and you risk ruining your stay in the this fine city.

The beds are comfy, the bathrooms are nice and the decor is unique. I took this into consideration and gave 2/5 rating.

My family and I booked a room here during Summerfest. The hotels that were closer were all booked. That didn't matter though because this hotel has a free shuttle. We arrived before check-in time and our room was ready. Our room was huge. What a pleasant surprise. We had a King Suite. My teenage daughter brought a friend along and this worked out wonderfully. The sofa bed is only a single size but we were able to get a roll away bed. We used the shuttle service to get to and back from Summerfest. This was more convenient and cheaper than trying to park down there. This hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly . We will stay here again when we are in the area.
