“Historic, (somewhat) convenient hotel”
Reviewed November 15, 2013

This old hotel has beautiful public areas. It's huge and connected to the convention center, so it can accommodate multiple events at once. There are also numerous good restaurants within the building. (From the street, these restaurants are actually better marked than the hotel itself. My husband and I accidentally passed it several times and ended up parking in a different garage. However, this was fortunate since the weekend parking for the mall area was a fraction of what the hotel lot was charging.)

On Wisconsin Ave and connected to the convention center, the hotel is pretty conveniently located. However, it had been billed as being connected to the downtown via skywalk. Though technically true, it's not really connected in any convenient way. You have to go through the convention center, which takes you on a very roundabout route to the rest of the downtown. The doors are also locked in the evening, when it's cold and dark outside and the skywalk would be most convenient. Basically, don't think you're going to beat the midwestern cold this way.

Our queen-bed room was small but recently and fashionably remodeled. I was, however, disappointed in the worn-out sheets. The first night, my pillowcase was badly stained. The second night, the sheets were ripped. I would get rid of these linens at home and certainly expect that a high-end hotel would do the same.

There were many things that went wrong with the rest of my trip. But this was not one of them. I selected this hotel as it was one of the two host hotels for our annual event. Everything inside its walls was absolute perfection, easy, fun and relaxing

This hotel is lovely and opulent - grand chandeliers, marble and ornate fixtures. The beds are comfy with down comforters and they do the two sheets surrounding the comforter rather than a seldom cleaned duvet. There's a formal-ish bar that is reminiscent of the bar in The Shining but in a creepy good way. And there's a pub which is a more laid back place for a drink and dinner. Enjoy

This was a really nice comfy hotel! There were a few things that probably could have been updated or upgraded a bit but the price wasn't too bad and the beds and pillows made up for anything negative! Staff was nice and accommodating.

Ahh beds, really, for many, the pinnacle of a hotel experience, as they can make or break the quality of your stay. I'm happy that you too have experienced the immense coziness of our beds here at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center.

Happy to hear that you found our staff as welcome and accommodating as we work to be, and we hope we can host you and your family again in the future!

Thanks,

My spouse and I stay in this hotel whenever we visit Milwaukee. The location is prime; the hotel has a walkway to our convention site, the housekeeping is impeccable and the staff always willing to do the little extra thing that makes for a great experience. Miller Time Pub has nice craft beers and very good food. All in all, a terrific hotel. Our quiet room on the 17th floor had a lovely view of the city .

Hi Judith,

We love hearing from our repeat guests, so I wanted to take a brief moment and thank you for both your patronage and taking the time to leave a review for other prospective guests to read.

I'm also happy to hear that you're a fan of Miller Time Pub & Grill as well. Earlier this year, we re-branded the restaurant and redid our menus from scratch and are very happy to say that it's been met with great satisfaction so far.

Thank you again for staying with us on multiple occasions - we look forward go having you and your family again soon!

This is a good hotel if you have a conference in Milwaukee's convention center. It links you to the convention center without going outside. The room was quiet and clean. If you are a Hilton member, you get internet access, which was nice.

This hotel offers a great property at a convenient location for a great value. Another added bonus is the Starbucks in the lower lobby. The rooms are nice. They offer room service that is prompt. The hotel is a very short drive from the airport. I have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed.

It's actually quite rewarding as a hotel to hear a business traveler refer to us as their "go-to" hotel. We pride ourselves in being a top-to-bottom excellent experience for all of guests, and understanding the fast-paced, often stressful world of the business traveler is key to doing so.

Knowing that we've managed to do so for you in your multiple visits to Milwaukee is simply music to our ears.

We're happy to have never disappointed you, and plan on continuing to provide you with the best hotel experience in Milwaukee.

Thanks,

Dustin Zick
