Before I arrived in Milwaukee, I had a dream and heard a voice say, "Go to Wisconsin!" I drove from Michigan checking out a place to live and take care of my schooling defeat at Wisconsin Lutheran College. My intention was to sleep in my car in a church parking lot. A friend of a close friend was contacted, turns out this man was Lee Semke, The concierge of the Hotel. Here I was out looking for a place to stay for the night, when I was lost in Milwaukee he called me on my phone, not knowing me and helped to back downtown.
Then he set me up in the hotel. I was so grateful for all of his help even though he had finished his work shift. He called all his associates and they are worked together with grace to get this unexpected job done. In addition to doing his job as concierge he took time out to help others find their way around town. Lee took the initiative to help me to get back out on the highway toward Michigan. I met Lee Semke personally the next morning right before check out, he and found out that we had several things in common. Through Lee taking time to be personable, we were able to get the Holy Spirit's message to both of us. He was just doing good works, and I was on a journey with God sending me I suppose as angel to him revealing a personal message to both of us. Once we realized this was not a coincidence we took a picture together. I later thanked him for his service to me and then I left. As I was pulling out of the parking ramp, something told me to go back in and thank him one more time. Lee was left bewildered and was sharing this testimony with his boss Paul. Turns out Paul was an answer to prayer and I was supposed to go back. Paul revealed that he and I were from the same sector of religious belief, and God showed me where we were going to be staying in Wisconsin. The most important message is there is a God in heaven and moved in Lee at the his perfect timing. He surprised all of us, leaving us all with his perfect messages... I have made a great friend and we are coming back soon to stay with we get settled into our new place to live in Milwaukee. I am so thankful for Lee Semke, his professionalism carried us to another level and I definitely would come back and stay just simply because God sent me there and the experience was divine.

Room Tip: I had a gorgeous view, and a loud group of people partying all night long, I was so thankful to have...

Compared to other Intercontinental's I have stayed in this lacked a little something. I couldn't fault the room which was excellent - very clean and very comfortable and quiet but the attitude of the staff was good but not outstanding (pleasant but not friendly) and the ambience of the hotel just seemed to be a little sterile. It is in a very good downtown location.

Loved staying here after going to the Brewers game. The front desk was extremely helpful in helping us find great places to go. Free Jelly Bellys at the front desk were a fun bonus. Room was spacious and clean... we got a free upgrade even. Breakfast was very good. Traditional Benedict and Apple French toast were amazing!

Room Tip: Booked on Hotwire and got a great discount.

I was there for the Northwestern Mutual Annual Conference and I must say that staying at this property was amazing. Regardless of our large crowd, the check in process was smooth, and and the response time for requests in room was very fast.

Special shout out to Lee Semke who took the personal time to write a hand written personal note to our room to welcome us to the Hotel!

The employees even wore Northwestern Mutual shirts as part of their uniform! Great hotel and staff!

The room was really dreadful. Size was okay, bed was comfortable.....but stains all over the carpet and fraying. The bathroom is pathetically small and absolutely horrible amentities. Just shampoo and soap. The staff is really great though. All bellmen extremely sweet. Front desk staff great. Parker in the bar was tremendous. The bar is great and the location also great. But really? The room price was ridiculous. If a room is important to you....skip this one.

Thank you so much for your feed back concerning your recent stay with us. Firstly, let me apologize that our rooms didn't meet your expectations. We certainly strive to maintain our rooms in a manner consistent with hotel standards and guest's expectations. I assure you the frayed and stained carpet is being researched so we can correct this. Also, our room amenities should consist of several other amenities, this has been brought to the attention of our Executive Housekeeper.

I appreciate your comments regarding our staff. I know our team is a group of diligent 'people pleasers' who are proud of the service they deliver. I will be sure to pass your comments on to the proper department heads.

Again, thank you so much for your feedback; it is truly a vital training tool that helps us perfect our art of hospitality.

I tried Hotwire last minute and wanted to be downtown for a show at the Pabst. Great deal and perfect location seeing as the hotel and theater are in the same building.

The corner king deluxe room was spacious and had a great view. The bathroom was small but stocked well.

Check in was quick and the gentleman provided information about all of the services available.

I didn't have dinner and there was no time before the show to grab a bite. I had several choices for an in room snack including snickers, toblerone, nuts, etc. This was a lifesaver.

Sure, parking is $25 overnight but it's safe and convenient.

I would not have stayed here if it weren't for Hotwire as I usually stat at the Hilton or Doubletree.

I will definitely stay here whenever I have a show to attend at the Pabst.

We went to Summerfest so we stayed here for a couple nights. It was a nice hotel, friendly people, room was clean. There is currently construction going on outside in the front of the hotel but we never heard any noise from that.

The only thing that I would advise is that the hotel should provide a shuttle bus to Summerfest. The front desk person said that Summerfest was within walking distance but it wasn't really , especially since it was hot/humid so by the time we got to Summerfest we were kind of tired. We found out later on that the Irish bar two blocks around the corner from the hotel provides a shuttle so we took that the next day. It ran every 20 minutes and dropped us off right at the South Gate - it was great!

Uzinger's sausage factory is close by, the hotel directory says that they provide tours but we found out that they no longer do tours. We still went to take a look at the store plus there is a cheese bar a few doors down which was fun.
