Owner description: Harley-Davidson motorcycles bring heart-thumping adventure, life-changing freedom and a bit of rebellion into the lives of people around the world. But whether you were born to be wild - or mild - makes no difference at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Much more than a nostalgia trip for motorcycle enthusiasts, the Museum offers a glimpse of American history and culture like you've never seen before - through the successes and trials of an iconic American company. Interactive, eye-catching exhibits present an unparalleled collection of legendary stories of our nation's last century. Located on 20 acres in downtown Milwaukee, the Museum offers free parking, Motor Bary & Restaurant, Cafe Racer, The Shop, park-like outdoor spaces, special event rentals, guided tours for group of 15 or more, and Steel Toe Tours of the Powertrain Operations, home of the big-twin engine.

If You're a biker or just want to be, then the Harley Museum is a place you have to see. Bikes, bikes, and more bikes as well as all the accessories to go with. It all started in 1903 and progressed to what we have today...see it all

“Great for Kids and Adults”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2014

We visited the HD Museum with our two and a half year old and he loved it. Cool to see all of the bikes from all of the years! There is a kids area and a place where adults and kids alike can sit on all sorts of bikes. Fun!

“Amazing experience, even for a non-HOG rider”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2014

I had an extra day in Milwaukee so I decided to walk to this museum nearby. I am not a museum/gallery person, and i am also not even a motorcycle rider/enthusiast, but I had heard so much about this one I decided to try it.

I was blown away by the beauty of the museum itself, by the exhibits, and by the artful way everything was displayed. I ended up spending almost 3 hours inside. I enjoyed how the company's values and history were explained through the evolution of the bike, and how the museum touched on social and economic issues surrounding the company as well. For those who don't want to read so much into it, there is lots to enjoy if you just like looking at old bikes, vintage memorabilia, or enjoying colorful displays. I especially enjoyed the huge wall of gas tanks in hundreds of colours, and also liked the part of the museum where you could "ride" a vintage bike and watch old film and commercials.

I ended up being there on a day they have a big bike rally outside in the parking lot, so i got a guided tour of bikes in the lot from some local riders.

Overall I was very impressed. The sharpest museum I've ever been to, and best overall museum experience ever.

“Nice museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2014

I'm not into motorcycles but was a good day to learn about them.
You will find yourself surrounded by LOTS of motorcycles, and ther history, going from the first model ever built, going through interactive listening of a Harley Davidson motor, and the assembly process demonstration, you can even customize your dream motorcycle!!

Priceless for fans!

“Great place for the family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2014

If you love motorcycles this is the place to take the family. The museum has an amazing collection of motorcycles dating back to when Harley first started building them. I enjoyed every minute I spent there.
