Owner description: Harley-Davidson motorcycles bring heart-thumping adventure, life-changing freedom and a bit of rebellion into the lives of people around the world. But whether you were born to be wild - or mild - makes no difference at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Much more than a nostalgia trip for motorcycle enthusiasts, the Museum offers a glimpse of American history and culture like you've never seen before - through the successes and trials of an iconic American company. Interactive, eye-catching exhibits present an unparalleled collection of legendary stories of our nation's last century. Located on 20 acres in downtown Milwaukee, the Museum offers free parking, Motor Bary & Restaurant, Cafe Racer, The Shop, park-like outdoor spaces, special event rentals, guided tours for group of 15 or more, and Steel Toe Tours of the Powertrain Operations, home of the big-twin engine.

“Worth the diversion”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

Just rode up there and visited this museum for the first time... Definitely worth it. What made it even better was today was "10 dollar Tuesday", which was unexpected, but a nice surprise.... We also appreciated the FREE lockers, which came in handy.

We spent about 4 hours there, but you could easily spend almost a full day---we were pressed for time. My favorite areas were the 2nd floor featuring the first few decades of production, and the customized bike area... The museum is very modern, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.... Not much to complain about except i truly thought the museum was going to be bigger.... Then again, there were several other buildings besides the main museum building that we didn't get to see.... Maybe next time....

So, all in all, along with the great early fall riding weather today, it was a great day!

Visited yesterday. Admission $18 each. $4 extra for audio tour. Allow at least a couple of hours for this museum. Very impressive. Loved the self photos you can take of yourself on the new model bikes.

“So many bikes, so little time...”
Reviewed September 29, 2013 via mobile

Biker heaven. Tour guide gave overview of museum, pointed out areas you could explore on your own after the tour. Lots of interesting Harley Davidson history which coincides with the history of America. The variety of bikes is amazing. BBQ pork sandwich was delicious. Gift shop has unique items that any biker would love. Don't miss the place where you can take your photo on a big bike DIY and have it emailed to you.

“Great time! Thanks H-D!”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

This place can be covered in 2-3 hours, but if you read and look at everything it can be a whole day's adventure! They offer guided tours or you can make your own discoveries; if you choose to do the self guided tour, they do offer headsets with i-pods that can be played at each location (not limited to a strict path). There are several interactive areas, very rare bikes that start with the #1 bike. Very well put together! A must see if you have any interest in bikes at all. *The Steel Toe Tour is a MUST Pre-Register (min 24hrs) ALL YEAR!! They are limited to only 20 people and twice a day. Well worth the $$. **Don't forget the Museum Shop! Great stuff in there and cheap gift items only $1-3.00! And two places to eat!

“Great place to come visit”
Reviewed September 28, 2013 via mobile

We travelled 200 miles out of the way to visit. And I can honestly say it was worth every mile.lol. Heaps of old bikes to modern. I thought I knew a lot about Harley's but once you go though I realised there was a lot I didn't know. Even my wife had a bit of fun at the end when you get a chance to sit on a few. Highly recommend even if you are not a harley lover
