Owner description: Harley-Davidson motorcycles bring heart-thumping adventure, life-changing freedom and a bit of rebellion into the lives of people around the world. But whether you were born to be wild - or mild - makes no difference at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Much more than a nostalgia trip for motorcycle enthusiasts, the Museum offers a glimpse of American history and culture like you've never seen before - through the successes and trials of an iconic American company. Interactive, eye-catching exhibits present an unparalleled collection of legendary stories of our nation's last century. Located on 20 acres in downtown Milwaukee, the Museum offers free parking, Motor Bary & Restaurant, Cafe Racer, The Shop, park-like outdoor spaces, special event rentals, guided tours for group of 15 or more, and Steel Toe Tours of the Powertrain Operations, home of the big-twin engine.

Lots, lots and lots of Harleys. There were some interactive exhibits which made it the experience fun. The admission price was a little high for what you get - $16.00.

I ate at the restaurant - good chili.

“If you like HD, it's the place to be”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

It's impressive what we take for granted on our cars or motorcycles... but seeing the evolution, 105+ years of models, it was interesting, nicely done and clean. The prices at the store are outrageous as expected. It's a place to visit.

Great exhibits, friendly people. Harley s from beginning to current. Great stories of how they started and their recovery from almost bankruptcy. Cafe & Restaurant are top notch.

“Not just for gearheads”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

Great for learning about the history of Milwaukee as well as the company. Fascinating collection of bikes, lots of local "color", and some interactives for the kids. We did the audio tour as well, so we got many more of the cultural connections and history than if we had not. You can also sit on several bikes at the end of the tour. Only negative was an overpriced gift shop - not much under $10.

“Interesting Stop”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

I'm not a big Harley girl but I enjoyed the variety of information. Harley in the army, police, delivery, advertisements. Quite interesting! The staff who work there are really nice and will take photos and are generally very helpful.
