This is an amazing place. The entire hotel has a "ritzy historic vibe", which is charming and interesting. Even the newer tower in the hotel retains that same decor, so never fear about missing out if you get a room in that part of the hotel. The staff was extremely professional and attentive, especially while retrieving my lost hat. The bed was so comfy that I was reluctant to get out of it, the TV was nice, the bathroom nice with a great shower...I could go on and on. Got a great deal on the room as well. The only thing that some folks might not like is that parking is a little pricey, as is the lobby bar...but I think that is to be expected of a fancy hotel. Within walking distance of the 3rd Ward and tons of restaurants and bars. You'd need to work pretty hard to get me to stay somewhere else.
