The hotel was nice and pleasant. But a len (55-200mm) of Nikon digital camera D60 and a dual screen DVD player were stolen from our minvan parked adjunct to the hotel. We did report it to the hotel front desk, but were told the parking garage was independent from the Hotel. We obtained and filled a form from the casher of parking garage. We were told that the parking office would contact with us on the next business day, however, after more than two weeks we have not received any phone call and email from the parking garage. I do not know if the garage is a target for such a crime because it is adjunct to a hotel bearing a name "Hyatt"! People really should think twice when they think of parking there. There are plenty better and cheaper parking garages around.

Hotel is located in a great location just a few blocks from the main downtown corridor. Everything was an easy walk. There is a great Italian restaurant right across the street and a 24-hour "diner" type restaurant for a reasonably priced breakfast if you don't want to spend hotel-crazy prices for basic eggs or pancakes. Just 2 blocks out in any direction are restaurants with every type food imaginable. . .good food and most reasonably priced.

The exercise equipment is state of the art with several of each type machine. The moist, cold towels were a delightful way to end your workout. Unfortunately, it appeared they only stocked the place once a day so if you didn't time your visit right you were out of luck. . .and forget trying to find somebody to offer assistance.

The rooms were recently renovated but there is still a lot that needs to be fixed to make the newness shine. The rooms are poorly lit so reading in bed is near impossible. The faucets in the bathroom were set so far back that whenever you use the sink you create a mini-flood all over the counter. The hotel gives you an option of being green conscious and use your towels more than once; only they don't offer a towel bar to hang a bath towel.

Wireless internet is $9.95 a night. Had to have our room changed 4 times until we could find a room where the connection actually had a strong enough signal. (Wish we had known this was going to be a problem before we unpacked 6-days worth of clothes and toiletries).

Knowing these minor inconveniences, I would stay here again in the summer due to the location, downtown and restaurant accessibility and gym.

I took my mother to Milwaukee to spend some time at Potowatomi over the weekend. We came in from Chicago, and the Hyatt was offering a spectaucular deal where you get a room for $72.00 a night if you are an Illinois resident coming in the visit Potowatomi. The hotel looks like is was just redone, and the lobby is beautiful. It has an atrium setting, and the elevators are located right in the atrium. The rooms are beautifully done with all new decor. The bathrooms are very small, but very modern. I was even taking notes for things to change about my bathroom at home! The shower pressure was very good. The room has a rather large flatscreen TV which is a nice touch. The size of the room was larger than expected. There seemed to be plenty of room in between the beds and the dresser, and it didn't seem cramped at all. Overall, a beautiful hotel right across from US Cellular Arena, and close to the riverwalk, shopping, dining, and offers a free shuttle to Potowatomi from 1pm to 3am. Highly recommended.

This facility is fresh and updated, a great location for walking to theaters, restaurants, events and shopping. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Valet parking always offered trip route suggestions if needed. Guest services promptly responded to any requests. The desk staff were friendly and helpful.

We booked this through Hotwire, so the value was excellent.

I have stayed at this Hyatt twice in the last 15 months. I love this place. It is quiet, the most comfy beds ever for a hotel. Great location.

I recently stayed in the Hyatt during a lia sophia jewelry convention that was held at the adjacent Midwest Airlines Center.

The renovations to the hotel have really helped out the overall quality and many of the complaints from past years have been addressed, but some of the same problems still exist. I am a Platinum Hyatt member but no additional status perks were offered during this stay.

The lobby is open and inviting. The bar was nice with a well trained staff that was able to handle a very large group of drinking women.

The rooms greatly benefited from the renovated rooms with very comfortable new beds, nice clean carpeting and a big flat screen TV.

Problems that still exist though are a poor cleaning staff. I arrived to find two already open bottles of water on the table and a solid coat of dust on the bathroom granite and TV stand. I took the open bottles of water to the front desk and let them know about the dirty table and bathroom counter. The front desk attendant actually told me that if I wanted to get a bottle of water I should have went to the Regency room.

The counter tops remained dusty during the ENTIRE 4 night duration of my stay despite leaving $5 tips to the maid service each day.

Overall the hotel is much improved from past years, but I am afraid that the same cleanliness problems still exist.
