“Great Location and Nice Updates!”
Reviewed June 5, 2014

I drove down to meet some friends from out of town, and stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to downtown. The location is conveniently located across the Milwaukee River from Water Street; close enough for an evening stroll but far enough away that you can still get a good night's sleep.

There was a bounty of staff eager to check you in, or to assist you with anything from forgotten toiletries to recommendations to the best dining spots. Everyone was exceptionally helpful and friendly, including the housekeeping staff.

The hotel is an older building, but has been recently renovated throughout. The rooms were very clean, with tidy bathrooms and crisp linens. The flat screen TV was huge and the bed was extraordinarily cozy. Although I stayed out too late, the few hours of sleep I got were very refreshing!

I would steer clear of breakfast on the main floor; the only negative experience I had. For the $12 I spent on the buffet, I could've had 3 - 4 meals at the George Webb around the corner and would've had better quality.

Overall, this was a very nice experience. I will definitely stay here again in the future. Compared to other hotels downtown, this would be your best value for the money.

Room Tip: You would be hard pressed to find a bad view from the 7th floor and above.

I traveled to Milwaukee for a business trip and stayed at this hotel. The bathrooms were small, but that is really the only negative thing I could say! The rooms were up-to-date and clean and all of the conference facilities were great! But hands down, the best part about this hotel is the staff. They were so helpful and attentive - every staff person I encountered was this way. On top of that, they were just so friendly! It was so nice to always see a smile anytime I approached someone with a question. Any future visits to Milwaukee will definitely see me staying at this hotel!

The hotel is very dated The rooms are older and bathroom is very small lacks an experienced staff They opened my door and riot my wises door. A much higher priced hotel for the area overnight parking $30.00 The hotel intercontinental two blocks down 50.00 cheaper and a whole lot nicer

Room Tip: Not worth the price better deals at the continental next door

Thank you kindly for taking the time to place a review of your experience at our property. Although, we strive to make all of our guests' stays flawless--I understand that we may have missed the mark with your particular visit. We do try to remain competitively priced among the comparable hotels in the area, by offering some great packages and discounts. We even offer a park and stay package that includes parking for only an additional dollar. I do hope that you consider staying with us again during your next stay in Milwaukee.

My son and I stayed when we were in town touring Marquette University. Location was excellent. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom quite small and the water did not get super hot. The interior design of the hotel is modern and attractive.

I appreciate that you took the time to review our hotel during your recent stay. College is such a big choice to make, but I hope that we were able to make it a bit easier. From doorman, front desk staff, bellman, and restaurant staff, there were nothing but smiles!
We have stayed at this Hyatt before and continue to find this welcoming attitude continuing.
Room was excellent, breakfast very good and reasonably priced, and car valet response prompt and pleasant.

A group of friends and I were recently in Milwaukee for a bachelorette party, and had a fantastic experience at the Hyatt Regency. Location was perfect, right in the downtown area. We were able to walk to a nearby bar for dinner and drinks before attending a Brewers game, and were walking distance from a plethora of downtown bars afterwards as well. Made for a carefree night, didn't have to worry about finding a ride. Staff were very friendly and accommodating! We had 3 rooms between us, all had excellent view of the downtown area, very cool. Rooms were clean and modern. My only complaint would be that they were a bit snug and small, and there was no refrigerator. Didn't matter much for us since we really only used the rooms to get ready and to have a bed to sleep in. Lobby area was awesome, complete with glass elevators. We were also able to utilize the valet parking at a reasonable price and was totally worth it. I would definitely stay here time and time again, and recommend

I am so glad to hear of another fellow Fox Valley resident staying with us. Sounds like you had a great time celebrating such a wonderful event. I completely agree, our location makes traveling in and around the city convenient. Whether it is for another "girls-night-out" event or a relaxing "stay-cation" we hope you return to celebrate some of the great, summer celebrations we have coming up soon. Our packages and discounts along with our proximity to Potawatomi, Brewer's stadium, Bradley Center, and the Lakefront are all things to return to Milwaukee for. Hope to see you again soon.

This is a very large hotel - seems ideal for conventions and conferences with several meeting rooms on the second floor. The design of the hotel is with rooms all around and an open inner space with an architectural hanging in the middle of this inner space. Quite modern and interesting look. The decor of all the floors and the carpets all create a nice modern visual look.

Check in was efficient.

The room size is very good. The bedding on the king bed is great and the small pillows (unlike the usual large hotel pillows) were also very comfortable for a great nights sleep. TV is at angle and there is a desk as well as a comfortable chair and ottoman. Plenty of closet space for hanging clothes. Not a lot of drawers.

Lighting in the room is not sufficient. Even when i switched on all the lights the room still felt dark - this should be a simple thing to fix to add light and make the room feel more bright when required.

Air conditioning worked well and could be adjusted with the controls in the room effectively.

Nice sized window and no building right next to it - but views are not remarkable.

Bathroom is very small for a room of this size. There is a bathtub combined with shower, toilet and then the countertop with sink right next to it. The sink had to be put at one end of the countertop since the toilet is so close to it. Toiletries in the bathroom were bare minimum. No shower cap. Since the bathroom was so small it was not very convenient to use.

Aquafina water bottles were kept in the room - two bottles for $3 each - why cant hotels provide drinking water OR at least some drinking water without extra charge - most international hotels do - Hyatt in London and Hong Kong does - why not in Milwaukee?

The bistro in the lobby seemed very small for a hotel of this size. No buffet breakfast. Food quality is very average - the sausage with the eggs was cold and undercooked. However service is exceptional. The server at the bistro was cheerful, attentive, efficient and warm.

There is a fitness center on the third floor - again fairly small for such a large hotel. Also it could have been put on a higher floor with better views. Seems like a simple change to do to make this experience more pleasant. No one in the gym to monitor people. There were some guests "hanging out in the gym" drinking coffee and chatting only (not working out at all).

Usually stay at the Pfister in Milwaukee. Will do so again the next time.

Thank you Wings_Wheels for taking the time to review our property. The feedback you provide allows us to improve our services and products. I will make sure to pass this review and comments onto the other associates. We work very hard to maintain a "home-away-from-home" feel and I hope we were able to accomplish that for you. With so many great events and things to do in downtown, I hope you consider staying with us again. Check out our packages and discounts for your next stay in Milwaukee.
