“Breakfast Review Only”
Reviewed October 8, 2009

I am sorry to say I only had time to stop here for breakfast. Based on other's ratings they serve good lunches and dinners and don't forget pie. The breakfast menu is just like any other breakfast menu you have seen, and the food tasted like almost every other breakfast. I would love to come back here and try some of this famous pies on another visit.
The breakfast was breakfast. The service was good and the coffee hot.

“Best blueberry pancakes.”

This restaurant is adjoined to a bakery. It serves excellent food with service to match. The pies are remarkable! The decor is diner chic, possibly 1950's inspired. The collection of Fiesta ware pitchers displayed is worth seeing.

“Excellent diner experience, both in food, service and ambiance.”
Reviewed September 20, 2009

We dropped in on a warm sunny Sunday afternoon. The ambiance of the town is wonderful, quaint and approachable. The diner is clean, polished and richly furnished...in a diner sort of way.

One of us had the Southwestern omelette. Distinct mexican overtures fused with ground Chorizo sausage, onions and peppers in a fluffy egg wrap and accompanied by traditional (but real) hashed brown potatoes. Excellent and very filling but perhaps a trifle too salty.

The other meal (and recommended by our excellent waitress) was seared tuna with dill and butter on pita bread. Delicious!

Deserts were not quite up to the main courses but decent none the less.

Our waitress was excellent, prompt and informative.

Highly recommend it!

“If nutrition is not a concern”
Reviewed September 17, 2009

This restaurant has a nice, sunny, clean, fun, appealing decor. It is often busy and loud. Sometimes the oldies music is very enjoyable. It's a nice place to meet friends. If you're watching your diet, it will be difficult. They care nothing for letting you know the fat content, for example. Their curried squash soup is delicious, but they can't tell you how much fat you've had or are about to choose. The burgers arent as tasty as you might hope, when you splurge and, inspired by memories of great burgers of your childhood, have one. The turkey platter can be fine, if you like plain green beans, but the turkey, potatoes and cranberry sauce are good. Their bean burger is quite disappointing. They have a tasty platter of yams, onions and white potatoes with a cranberry relish and sour cream. Many pies, all I've tried were good.

“Good food, but Service Glitches”
Reviewed January 1, 2009

We were there for lunch on a weekday after Christmas. First off, the food is really good. Typical diner fare done very well.
A series of glitches made our meal a problem.
First, when we arrived there was a "Seat Yourself" sign prominently displayed. However, when we did that we were told that there was a line of people waiting. When we told them about the sign, they said it was a mistake and we were asked to give up our table (which we did).
After ordering our meal of burgers and salads, we waited over ONE HOUR for our food. In fact, we were at the point of leaving when our server arrived with our meals. To the restaurants credit, they acknowledged the error and provided our meals for free. A nice thing for them to do, but I will admit that the long wait seriously dampered our visit.
