Description: Blue Heron BrewPub and The Oven above the Pub offer two distinct dining environments. Downstairs the BrewPub offers a casual, comfortable eating environment with a variety of foods prepared from "scratch". The menu changes frequently and can be viewed on our website. Upstairs at The Oven above the Pub, the menu features items prepared in a Forno Bravo brick oven located within the dining area. Customers my order then watch their food being prepared. The menu items include appetizers, flatbreads, salads, and iron skillet entrees. Both areas can prepare food for individuals with dietary preferences. All tap beers are brewed in our own brewery and available both upstairs and downstairs. Flagship brews include Honey Blonde, Tiger's Eye, Hop Heart IPA and Loch Ness Scotch Ale. Six additional brews assure that anyone should be able to find a quaffable libation. An elevator serves all levels of the building for those requiring assistance. Blue Heron BrewPub is open from 11:00 AM til Close and Oven above the Pub is open from 5:00 PM til Close. Both restaurants are closed Sunday.

“Specialty drink menu & server - A+”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013

Eight other friends and I visited on a Friday evening to celebrate 3 birthdays! Reservations are not accepted in the pub so I arrived early to try and "save" a table. We were seated right away. The restaurant décor is updated and great for a pub/sports bar atmosphere and the building has a unique history. However, it was very noisy downstairs to the point where we were having to yell at each other across the table.

The food was good/average. The selection is impressive and they offer transformations to normal, every day food (I.e. 'Grown up mac n cheese'). What made the cake for me was the specialty drink menu. We all ordered "fancy" drinks they were fruity, fun, and fabulous. One did not like her drink and it was taken off the check (after drinking 1/2) and replaced with what she wanted.

Our server, John, was attentive, prompt, and had a great attitude. He was personable and matched our high energy level, making the experience that much more enjoyable. Will be back!

“The best around, hands down!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2013

The Brew Pub is our go-to pretty much whenever we want to go out to dinner or celebrate a special occasion. There is a great selection of special brew beers and the food is so darn yummy!
We like this restaurant so much that we are having our wedding upstairs at their upscale dining, West 14th! :-)
We have always loved getting Kayla or Kaitlyn as servers, but have recently discovered Erica...she's a gem too!
Two things about the Brew Pub I want to make sure I get in here:
Try their fish fry!!!! Super awesome!!!!
Also...Saturdays they have Holy Bloody Mary specials (GIANT Bloody Mary's with toppings spilling out from the top).
Honestly, my review would be 8 pages long if I listed everything I love about this place.

“A Pleasant Surprise and Good Beer!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2013

We visited the Blue Heron after arriving at the Holiday Inn. It was near 10 pm and the kitchen was already closed, but our waitress went above and beyond making us some cold chicken salads to go with our beverages. A+++ service, good beer, and a really nice (updated) decor. Will definitely visit again!

“Best affordable restaurant in Marshfield”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2013

The Blue Heron BrewPub has absolutely delicious food. I have never had any bad food here. The service isn't always perfect, but it is pretty good. They also have wonderful drinks. They brew their own beer (duh, it's a brew pub), and while I am not a beer drinker, my husband is a big fan. I love the root beer, personally. The food is reasonably priced, especially for the quality. They also have very a very different menu selection than most of the restaurants in the area. It's perfect for dates or a dinner with friends. As it is a brew pub, it may not be the most kid-friendly.
