The log and birch bark old lodge houses the restaurant. This setting, complete with lake views, makes for the perfect family "up north" experience.

Our family of seven (two children, one teenager and four adults) had a wonderful time. The service is friendly and prompt. We tried the perch, walleye, and coconut shrimp. All meals came with a salad bar that had just basics, spreadable cheese, crackers and rolls. The shrimp was very good. The perch seemed like it was deep fried for too long: A bit dried out. However, the presentation in an old-time metal skillet was fun. The group voted the walleye the best dinner. We tried potato crusted, pan fried and deep fried. Our favorite was the deep fried walleye because it provided the best flavor overall. All preparations of the walleye were moist and delicious. We tried their soups, all good. Our side of fries, mashed potatoes, dressing, and baked sweet potato were all good too.

We visited last summer and will visit again in the future. We really enjoy the setting and the lake view.

The second time we made it to Bent's Camp was by boat on one of the only "pretty" days we had (rainy most of the time) - and, of course, the trip was well-worth it. Stopped in for a drinky-poo. THESE PEOPLE ARE FRIENDLY!!!!! The first visit was more elaborate (it was our turn to buy dinner for the ENTIRE FAMILY!) and we were very, very pleased! Service was great for our big group - food and drinks were hot and cold, respectively! Babies were accomodated, toddlers were tolerated, cheeze curd "towers" were appropriately demolished! Oye, the fish! Couples can romance on the lake-side with a magnificent view. GO, GO, GO!!!!!

Bents Camp menu is pretty broad given this is the North Woods of Wisconsin and some restaurants in the area have really limited menus. If you are looking for classic "Up North" food this is a good option. Fish, cheese curds and steaks. We had the fish and curds and they were great. They also have steaks but didn't try those. The kid's menu is pretty limited though and the salad bar is pretty small. Overall, a good place to go if you have kids with you. Great views of the lake too.

The food is great, and the location is right on one of the many large lakes in the area. The servers are friendly and the drinks are generous (as you'd expect from any decent Wisconsin establishment).

Very family friendly, but service can be slow, and the wait can be long.

Bent's Camp is one of the oldest resorts in the Land O'Lakes area of Wisconsin. It is on the beautiful Cisco Chain of Lakes which goes up into the U.P. of Mich. The Restauant/Bar is in an old two Story log cabin. Take the time to wander around before or after your meal to see the historical pictures and artifacts. Gift shop is up stairs. In the front dining room, you have a perfect view of Mamie Lake, and there are picnic tables, so I guess that if you asked nicely, you could take your meal out side. lunch menu consists of a variety of burgers, and other sandwiches such as BBQ pork, rueben, fish, etc. I particulary love their sweet potato fries which is an alternative to regular french fries. The Walleye pike sandwich is huge, BUT, I personally do not like the breading on it. I prefer beer batter or tempera and for the reason alone, I will not order another one. On the other hand, the Reuben and BBQ pork that I've had before is fabulous. I guarentee that if you go to Bent's for lunch, you will then think about coming back and staying in one of their rustic cabins for a week. A piece of history, indeed.
