“A jewel around the lake”
Reviewed July 29, 2014

This was a focal point of a previous visit to the lake. After a wonderful boat ride we arrived at a dock and way up high is this estate. An amazing sight and even better when you visit the house. THis was the summer playground of the rich and famous of Chicago and it shows.

“Wonderful trip back in time”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

What a beautiful old home! It starts with a boat ride where a guide explains all the rich history of Lake Geneva, Next come the steps to get up to the estate, so be prepared and in good shape because there are a lot! What you see when you get to the top after catching your breath is well worth it though. The beauty you see in the house is amazing, and to think when the family moved in back in the day there were no moving vans, everything was moved and brought into the house by hand.
It is a beautiful estate and well worth the trip. It's a must see when visiting the area.

“Well Worth the Time”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

What a treat! Getting to the estate also requires a boat tour of Lake Geneva. It is 45 min out and 45 min back with the tour of Black Point taking about two hours. It is the perfect way to spend an afternoon. The estate was recently donated to the State of Wisconsin in its entirety, furnishing and all. It is as if one walks into the Seipp house. The docents are knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The estate is magnificent. The other homes on the lake and the history of the properties are amazing

“Black Point Estate is a unique attraction!”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

It's like stepping back into the 1880s with authentic period pieces and narration of the Conrad Seipp saga - one of Chicago's top beer moguls.
