Owner description: This lovely 21-mile walking path, around Geneva Lake, takes pedestrians by impressive homes and quiet lakeside neighborhoods. A two-mile swath on the West End offers a manageable stroll, lovely views, and passes landmarks such as the Abbey Resort and Fontana Spa and popular local eateries like Chuck's.

An all day adventure around a breathtaking view. The lake path truly gives you an excellent perspective of Lake Geneva.

A must when willing to spend a good chunk of day walking. Started in Lake Geneva around
10 am and walked the south shore heading west toward Fontana. Heading around to Williams Bay then back to Lake Geneva. Total amount of time spent on trail was around 8 hrs. Spent an hour and a half or so stopping for lunch and a beer at Chucks in Fontana then a drink at Harpoon Willies in Williams Bay. Comfortable shoes are a must! Careful if choosing Vibram Fivefingers... Went on my 21st birthday to celebrate

A few of the Rockford Ski Club members took a walk on the south shore this past June. The weather was perfect and the path very manageable. Great homes to view.

If you are reading these comments before starting your walk, be advised that many of the commenters only took on part of the trail. That means many say "easy" because they never reached any of the more difficult areas. There are a lot of easy sections, but many that are not. Also - the longer your walk - the more challenging it begins to feel!! I loved it, but began to have a lot of pain in a tendon on one leg and had to really suck it up in order to finish the last 2.5 miles. It was a very crisp windy autumn day, we were dressed for it so that was good. Good footwear is a must. There were 4 of us - two went the 21 miles. They are both veterans of the Chicago Marathon and said thay actually felt better after the Marathon than they did after this 21 mile walk!! Anyway - besure you are ready for a challenge I am so happy I could get as far as I did.

A great walk for all ages. No bathrooms along the way though! It takes about 2.5 hours to walk from Williams Bay to Lake Geneva.
