Stayed at Grand Geneva and went horseback riding with 11 yr old daughter at Dan Patch Stables. 1st time for me, second time for my daughter. Didn't know what to expect. Made reservation, took Grand Geneva free trolley to the stables. Stables has a small petting zoo and pony rides for little kids. Petting zoo not staffed or animals marked-customers were on their own. After filling out some standard paperwork, we paid ($30/person) and were told to wait until our ride. The daughter of the owner was our guide. She helped us get on, introduced us to our horses and showed us how to steer. Not much else. the trail was lovely though, though a pine forest, and other tall trees and a small creek. Was a nice respite for the intense August heat. Ride lasted 40 minutes.
