“Great Find in Lake Geneva”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2011

We were looking for a nice place to eat along the lake that had outdoor seating. One of the shop owners pointed us to the Baker House. I am so happy they did! This is an 1885 victorian mansion that is filled with ambiance - each room in the mansion has been filled with antiques, comfortable seating and charm. They specialize in small plates and the food was very good. We had the "cocktail party for two" which was comprised of 4 beautifully done scallops in bacon, 4 skewers with a choice of chicken, beef or shrimp, and fried green beans. Because of dietary issues, we substituted the green beans for the sauteed zucchini with almonds and parmesan cheese. The scallops and the zuccini were excellent and I would highly recommend both! We also had the lime and cilantro shrimp saute which was nicely spiced. They also have a great selection of drinks. We ate on the "porch" which is glassed in and air conditioned but overlooks the lake. Afterwards, we took out drinks out to the victorian garden where there are tented seating areas among the flowers. All in all a charming place off the busy main street!

“Wonderful Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2011

Yesterday went to Baker House for brunch after reading reviews and was not disappointed. The food was wonderful, service was great. Thank you to Lola, on her first day there who made our experience great, never would have known she just started. To the guys from the Pasta Bar and Omlet Bar, Your food was wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed the crab cakes, omlet and pasta dish I tasted. Loved the costumes and decor. Will definitely eat there again.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2011

We had an 8:15 reservation and were greeted warmly by the hostess. We caught the end of the sun down festivities on the front lawn and then were seated on a couch with a table in the music room. There was live piano music and the atmosphere was very unique and fun. We had the fondue and it was great. We enjoyed some good conversation in a very relaxing setting before heading back to the hotel. I recommend!!!!

“Unique and Fun Time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2011

I had read good reviews of this restaurant and got reservations for our visit. We arrived early, got a cocktail from the bar and sat out on the lawn overlooking the lake. We were sitting there enjoying the view when we were wonderfully surprised at the sunset event that we would become part of.

We thoroughly enjoyed the small plate - great flavors and wonderful way to dine - as we could munch, order, munch and order. We left very satisfied, yet not over-served. The waiter was attentive and pleasant.

I would tell others to try it -- a different, fun dining adventure.

“Fun and funky”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2011

We only stopped in for dessert and we were treated to a couple of wing-back chairs and live music by Felix the pianist. The atmosphere kept us laughing with those around us, and we sang, and enjoyed our sweets. Felix in there on Friday and Saturday nights; great fun
