“A disaster.”

Sopra seemed like a nice place. We went in and were seated. 6 or 7 minutes went by with no greeting of any kind, no water glasses filled, no acknowledgement of any kind. The bartender finally stopped by and asked what we wanted. We hadn't gotten a full wine list so she got one and left for another 5 minutes. Needless to say we didn't stick around.

“What a disappointment!”
Reviewed March 8, 2009

The food was very bland. I ordered an Italian seafood dish in a tomato broth. It consisted of 1 medium shrimp, 3 small mussels and 4 small clams. I think the price for this dish was around $25.00. We literally had to go home and eat after this night out.

“All around fantastic dining experience!”
Reviewed February 14, 2009

When you first walk in you are greeted by a warm yet elegant atmosphere. Decor is minimal but just perfect for the size of the dining room. The bar area is nice and large, dim lights but not too low to where you cant see the menu selections. The menu itself is not over described or given ridiculously silly names, simply what it is that makes that dish amazing. I had the pleasure of feasting on the Smoked Chicken Gnocchi with sauteed spinach and smoked Mozzarella cream sauce. OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS!!! The name of this menu selection does this dish no justice, its simply amazing. You can tell that all the ingredients and preparation is quality, you can taste the smokiness of the chicken and the freshness and tenderness of the spinach, and the smoked mozzarella cream sauce.....Will send chills down your spine! Portions sizes are not overly large and not "3 bitters" either. Just right and even maybe some to take home for a midnight snack. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who loves amazing food and quality with a fun, warm and classy atmosphere.

“All this book has, is the cover”
Reviewed February 9, 2009

My boyfriend and I decided to have dinner here since we were in town visiting. It was new and looked wonderful from the outside. Very elegant atmosphere. When we asked for a table, we were rudely asked, "Well do you have a reservation?" We replied no and asked if we should have made one. The waitstaff person replied, "Well we're really busy. We have a ton of reservations." Meanwhile, the restaurant was empty. He sat us at the worst table directly in front of the front door. We ordered an appetizer and two pasta entrees (both recommendations by the server). The calamari was horrible. So overcooked and rubbery. Disgusting. My pasta dish came out missing the most important ingredient (Chicken) and my boyfriend absolutely hated his dish. The risotto he ordered was not done well. Obviously the method used was incorrect. We both ended up having to send our dishes back. He ordered a different pasta dish and I sent mine back so they could incorporate some chicken. His dish came out 10 minutes before mine did. When mine finally came out, it was so salty I couldn't even stand it. And all the while, our water glasses were empty the entire time and we were ignored by the majority of the employees. The kitchen was having a really hard time. The table behind us also had to send their meals back. It was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We left and ordered a pizza, which was far more Italian than anything Sopra tried serving us that night. YUCK! DO NOT eat there! What a disappointment.

“Great food and cozy atmosphere”
Reviewed January 27, 2009

We went here for my friends 30th birthday and we were NOT dissappointed! The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy. Our waiter was very knowledgable about the menu and made many good suggestions. It was nice to see a beer and wine list that was tailored to the food they offer and that wasn't overwhelmingly large. The food was great! Especially the duck. It was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. For dessert the gelato with spices and red wined oranges was a little too spicy, but we still couldn't stop eating it. Overall, it was a great experience and we will definetly be going back. It's nice to have a something other than your typical downtown restaurants to choose from.
