Description: Monk’s Bar & Grill is known throughout the Midwest as the place to go for delicious craft burgers and great service. Our fun, family-friendly dining atmosphere creates a memorable visit for both adults and children. We’re not just a sports bar that loves their Wisconsin Badgers, we’re supporters and fans of local youth sports and schools in our communities. The Wisconsin State Journal has stated, “The (Monk’s) burgers have taken on somewhat of a legendary status in Sauk County.” We have to agree, our burgers are pretty fantastic because we pride ourselves on quality ingredients. The shrimp Po' Boy and tacos were great. Our sons loved the gourmet burgers! We would definitely go here again!

Our family has been coming to Monks for a very long time. We prefer the original location since the food is made to order and fresher tasting. The food is still very good here and they have a bigger selection/variety than the original. Their burgers are still top notch and one of my all time favorites. I would recommend sitting in the bar area if you want to watch a game. The tvs are ok size but they have a lot of different options to watch. They also have a basement area to watch games but it doesn't have a bar-like feel.

We decided to walk to Monk's from the Wilderness Resort. We were tired and not really interested in driving anywhere. Good decision! We were seated very quickly even though the place was busy. Great cheese curd app along with 4 good entrees. The Philly burger was quite good. Good assortment of spirits as well, especially with the Spotted Cow brew. Good attentive service, though not the most knowledgeable about the menu. We had a nice time and a good meal. Pleasant surprise when dining on property at a resort.

Thank you for stopping in the other night to Monk's at the Wilderness, we are delighted that you had a great experience! It's always nice to hear of Wilderness Resort guests stopping in to see us, and we hope that the next time you visit Wisconsin Dells that you'll stop back in and try some other menu options too... although cheese curds, a Philly burger and Spotted Cow are some wonderful first picks. Thank you again for such kind words.

While staying at Glacier Canyon Lodge our group of 4 took the shuttle to Monk's. We had heard they had the best cheeseburgers and I cannot argue with that. The buns are fresh and the burgers are juicy. Like every other restaurant in the Dells the prices are a bit on the high side but when the food is good no one complains. At our table one had the taco salad and enjoyed that, the chicken tenders were high quality and one had the good idea to save money and order the hamburger sliders. For $5.99 one gets two sliders that should be enough to eat for anyone.
As far as drinks go their specialty the "Purple Monkey" is one that I think should be avoided. The wife and I both thought it tasted like a combination of Grape Kool-Aid and cough syrup. However, the kids tried the Funky Monkey- a chocolate ice cream drink which was very good.
The service was fast and efficient and when done just ask the hostess to call the shuttle and you will be back in the water in no time.
One idea for a family is if you aren't really hungry order the 4 Slider option for 9.99 and an appetizer and you will get filled up for half the price of everyone placing their own order.

Ate here when staying at glacier canyon/wilderness. Walked over so very convenient. Ate outside on patio, very nice. Ordered two sides curds and monk fries. Probably could do without. Most had burgers. All very pleased. One had Carolina and was very good. One had philly and loved it. One had wrap, worst item from the group. Burgers were a hit. Good waffle fries and cheeps as well. Had great service with Carly. I recommend and we will be back sometime.
