We were just on vacation in Dells, WI and stopped here. We bought Black Goat Truffle Cheese and Port Salue. They both tasted so good! The woman in the store was even nice enough to cut our cheese a bit smaller than the package because we weren't going to be able to eat it all. Most places would say sorry we don't have a smaller size. Overall, I see this place as a great stop during your trip. They also have a website that i will be using to order more cheese. :-)

We went there yesterday. We called the day before to check on the best time to go and the girl on the phone told us just come before 10. We arrived at 8:30 and they were done for the day. Bummer.

Manager told us the cows put out less milk in the winter so that is why they were done so early.

It was a fun place to go and manager was very friendly. Besides all the great cheeses they have lots of flavored olive oils there. They were delicious. I bought lots of that, so make sure you sample those too.

So good! So delicious! Very Affordable! If you try/buy anything it's gotta be the cheese curds! I know it sounds gross but they taste sooo good! It's the same cheese they use in kraft mac n cheese but kraft dehydrates it... also there 2 year aged cheddar is a MUST purchase! :-)

Scenic drive out to this rural plant. They show a video that explains the process and you can watch through a glass. As other have said, arrive before 10:00 AM for best viewing whole process. Great cheeses for sale and samples. The day we were there a "Good Buy" box had several things at half price, truly half price per pound. I stocked up.

This facility takes 60,000 pounds of milk and makes 6000 pounds of cheese per day. Found in the center of the dairy country where they buy milk from small farmers not corporate farms. The cows are grass fed and you can certainly taste the difference.
I have been making cheese for the past 2 years as a hobby where I am part of a herd share and have to hand milk the cow once a week. This facility left me with much envy but more appreciation for their situation. Making cheese is labor and time intensive and you have to enjoy the labor to keep up this quality.
