Nothing special nor nothing really negative to say. We've stayed in three hotels in town, and so far, they have all been very similar. The food in the restaraunt was decent but the room could use some "atmosphere".

FOR SHAME.
Room: basic, clean, a long long way from the front desk; this is not a problem except:
No luggage carts anywhere near room entrance. Getting a cart requires
walking 1/2 mile through property and three locked doorways to the front desk, and then back wih the cart. I called the GM to report, went to voicemail at 2 PM, call not returned.

Internet: wireless does not work. Requires a password that must be remembered (or carried) if you should decide to try using the lobby signal. Room signal so weak as to be completely ineffective. Absolutely nothing is wrong with my computer, which works perfectly everywhere else. FD support unhelpful. Morning of departure at 730 am it is working enough to write this review. Wyndham and Priceline take note: Hotels that can't deliver what is advertised should not advertise it. A really bad sign: that the system is functional on day of departure tells me it could have been restored when it was needed. Likely FD staff didn't know how to do it.

To work for two hours the afternoon I arrived, I had to drive 4 miles to a Starbucks.

Room Tip: Unless you want to walk a marathon or have no luggage, ask for a room near the front desk. You migh...

Our room was pretty rough around the edges. The worst thing though was the musty smell. We kept the window open and the heat on to get the smell out of our room. The place needs a top to bottom cleaning. It was fine for what we wanted, a one night stay. The pool is OK. Again, a little rough around the edges with the painted side walls.

Very outdated. The good news is that our room, including the bathroom, was clean, although the beds sagged in the middle. The front desk area and bar/ restaurant area was dingy and the hallways were dimly lit which was probably a good thing since the carpeting was badly soiled. It's off the beaten track and not convienent to restrauants or shopping. I guess that it just proves the old adage "You get what you pay for." It needs a major renovation !!!

I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay as well as our hotel location. We are just over 3 miles from both the downtown center, as well as the nearest restaurants and shopping mall. Our hotel is currently undergoing renovations in our guest rooms, and you may certainly request a newly renovated room the next time your travels bring you to the area. We appreciate your feedback.

My recent stay at the Days Hotel LaCrosse was a family visit, which included our dog. First of all, travelers might be confused by the name "Days Hotel." We were looking for the "Days Inn" and thought that we had the wrong location, but this is the right place: Days Hotel and Days Inn are the same. (With so much emphasis on brand loyalty and brand identity in today's society, you'd think they would keep the established brand name.)

For people like us who are traveling with pets, note that there is a $15 charge per night for a pet in the room. Pets are not allowed to be left alone in the room for any length of time, either. (This can make dining out a bit of a problem.) It wasn't exactly pet-friendly, but it wasn't bad either.

We had a room on the first floor with 2 double beds. There were convenient entrances to the hotel from front, back, and side doors. Our room was big, with lots of room to move around and leave luggage. The room included a small table, two chairs, television with a full range of television programs, coffee maker that dispensed into single cups (with plenty of regular coffee for 2 people!). Toiletries were included and we had 4 thick bath towels. This was a non-smoking room; it was clean and neat.

We had one dinner in the hotel and a breakfast. I didn't think that the dinner was particularly good; however, my companions rated it "fine" and even "very good." Breakfast was included and is self-serve. It was the usual, average hotel fare: cereals, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, mini muffins, toast, juice, coffee, and a few fresh fruits (apples and oranges). Again, some of my companions thought it was good. I would like a few more healthy options, but you can make do with an egg and fruit.

The location is convenient for exploring the area. We went hiking on the rail trails and in the state parks. There is lots to do in the area if you like the outdoors. With the exception of one rather peevish person who didn't seem too welcoming when I said I had my dog, people at the front desk were very helpful and prepared with directions to local sites.

My spouse and I are traveling from Virginia to California, and this was our first stop after visiting family in Ohio for several days. Our stay, thus, was merely to stop and sleep after a solid 10 hour day of driving, and the Days Hotel (it's a Days Inn, but "Days Hotel" is the name on the sign) was convenient for our purposes.

The room was clean, though plain (we had a non-smoking room with a single queen bed). The staff member we spoke with was friendly and amused with my unwarranted obsession with Culvers (a Midwestern fast food chain); she recommended a number of nice-looking establishments in downtown La Crosse (yes, we ended up having Culvers). The bed was superb, with just the right combination of firmness and softness.

The indoor pool was... fine. Pluses: it was warm, indoor, and... there. Minuses: guests aren't supposed to have pets there, though several did. The pool towels (and the room towels, for that matter) are too tiny and scratchy for our tastes, the room was somewhat dark. The exercise room is attached to the indoor pool; it is dark, small, and sad; not recommended.

The continental breakfast in the morning was minimal but adequate.

My overall impression is that the Days Hotel is a fine place to stop. It is not a fine establishment, as it were, but is acceptable. Interactions with staff and the bed itself were very good; the rest is merely so-so at best. There are certainly worse things to say about a hotel, no?

We only needed a place to spend the night before continuing our journey east, and this hotel was a good choice for that purpose. Nothing fancy, but good enough for what we needed.

The room had a few small issues like the bathroom door not closing properly and the bottom sheets not fitting the beds very well, but it was clean. I am not a big fan of carpets in hotels, so I did not like the one we had this time, either. The hallways are long and not very inviting, but a plus for the possibility of parking near the room and using a side entrance to get in.

Breakfast was wonderful, actually better than the Hampton Inn's. Real plates and cutlery, very fresh juices, etc. It was served in the hotel's bar/restaurant, which, by the way, served us very good meals the previous evening. We were expecting bar food, but what we got was something much nicer. There was even a well thought-out vegetarian option on the menu. There isn't much (like restaurants) in the immediate vicinity, so it's great that they have this restaurant.
