Compliments: 1. Staff - Polite and friendly. Our waiter, a young man in his 20s (I'm guessing) spoke with a natural ease when describing the dishes. HIs ability to paint a picture of the food, describe ingredients, and how the food was made was impeccable. 2. Location - The location is right on the Mississippi River. Heated outdoor patio (very unique to this area). Valet parking offered (limited parking lot). 3. Atmosphere - Beautiful, fancy (for lack of a better word) restaurant. We felt like high rollers. 4. Great food quality and unique dishes.
Complaints: Do not get me wrong, the food was great. The fish, however, wasn't as flavorful as I expected. Compared to other restaurants, the flavor was lacking. The salad, veggies and sauce, bread, and everything was up to par, however. Food was a bit pricey.
Bottom line: If you've got the funds, you cannot pass up visiting The Waterfront. A must visit in La Crosse.
